A tear falls
Shatters
Over broken glass
Dissolves into fluid
The viscous oxidizing red
Surrounding her head
Like a halo
Happiness doesn't last
Smiles always fade
A photograph only pretends to lie
About the struggles one may face.
For every place and time
I realize that for every single day
I've been a different person,
yet those memories always fade.
Seems I've lost my grip on something
Seems I've been displaced
The photograghs caught me
Catching things at the worst of times
Yet, I've always had time to smile
But Smiles always fade
A photograph only pretends to lie
About the struggles one may face.
Ack-weird little charms
we stash in a little box.
Some wrapped in chains.
Others still wide open
For the thieves.
Waiting to be stolen by one recovering
from the loss of there childish charm.
One caught in the moment
One box taken early
One thing of great value lost
Turning them too, into a thief.
He was a phantom
with that broad smile,
eyes captivating me-
the strangeness of it all.
In his stares
he froze my mind.
Thoughts spewing
and incomplete.
He walked like a ghost
his steps unheard
and to most others
he was invisible.
And his voice
made me wonder
if he's easy to talks to.
Is he real?
Or maybe if he could
in the least
be my freind.
