THIS IS ME LIKE IT OR NOT I REALLY DONT CARE HAT PEOPLE CARE ABOUT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that "I really don't care hat people, care about me?"
or "I really don't care, hat people care about me?"
are we hat people? are we supposed to care about this person? I don't know about the rest of you but I don't wear hats much....
or conversely -
who are hat people and why do they care about you?
Why would hat people care about someone who isn't wearing a hat?
If you are curious whose portfolio this was in - it was RedAsh. BTW - her profile is a portrait in understatement also...if you catch my drift...
Have fun rating that one!
My friend's little son saw one of the Harry Potter books in the store once and shouted out - "Look MOM - it's HARRY POTHEAD!"
Boy, did that make her cringe and me laugh!
It also gave me an idea for a new YouTube parody series for which I would get SO SUED if I created it...but I can dream can't I?
Here are the titles:
Harry Pothead & The Sorcerer's Stash
Harry Pothead & The Chamber of Weed
Harry Pothead & The Stoner of Azkaban (in Humboldt County, CA)
Harry Pothead & The Bong of Fire
Harry Pothead & The Order of the Rasta
Harry Pothead & The Half-Baked Prince
Harry Pothead & The Deathly Ganga
I really don't think Ms. Rowling would approve!
PILOTLESS POLICE DRONES TAKE OFF
The UK's first police remote control helicopter has taken off.
Merseyside police are using the "spy drone", fitted with CCTV cameras, mainly for tackling anti-social behaviour and public disorder.
The drone sends images to a police control room
The machine is 1m wide, weighs less than a bag of sugar, and can record images from a height of 500m.
Originally used by the military, it is due to be operational by June for a full three-month trial, which is the "first of its kind" in the UK.
The drone will also be used for monitoring traffic congestion and investigations are to be made into its possible role in firearms operations.
The machines, which are flown by remote control or using pre-programmed GPS navigation systems, are silent and can be fitted with night-vision cameras.
For us this is a cost effective way of catching criminals
The images they record are sent back to a police support vehicle or control room.
Ass Ch Con Simon Byrne, Merseyside Police
Merseyside's assistant chief constable Simon Byrne said: "We're always looking at ways of putting more officers on the streets, and maximising technology is a powerful way of achieving this.
"Our drone will be used primarily to support our anti-social behaviour taskforce AXIS, in gathering all important evidence to put offenders before the courts.
"For us, this is a cost-effective way of helping to catch criminals and supports similar technology we're already using in our vans and helicopter."
The force has been assisted by the Police, Crime and Standards Directorate.
Deputy director, Stephen Cahill, said: "We are pleased to support Merseyside Police in their efforts to reduce crime through the use of new technology.
"This trial is the first of its kind in the country and we're excited about its potential."
We just saw 'Zodiac' (finally!) at the Belmont Picture House here in Aberdeen. It finally came out over here last week.
I have to admit that this case has fascinated me since I was very young. I was actually living in Vallejo when he committed the murders in 1969 just before my father did his last tour in Vietnam. Then when he returned and was stationed at Alameda we were living in Livermore where he worked at Lawrence Livermore Lab as a nuclear physicist. That is, incidentally, where he also was found dead in his lab - but that is another story entirely...
Anyway, the case was never officially solved. I have one statement for the SFPD and the surrounding juridictions back then...TASK FORCE.
It is too bad that they didn't pool their information and that it took Graysmith to piece all the information together.
The film was excellent. I highly recommend it.
I have decided that:
1) If Daire is a Sith Lord and Radu is his apprentice that MUST make Cancer the Emporer!
2) rating Whelps a ten (I have been doing that recently to be "nice") is a freaking waste of time since they come back at me with 9 (or - GASP - lower) a lot. As if their malnourished profiles deserve a ten...but, hey...I really don't care too much since I realize they DON'T GET IT YET! Maybe I should go back to the standard 8 rate for newbies?
and...
3) from reading my daughter's old journal entries here that she has a GREAT sense of humor.
I am going to encourage her to write more in the journal here.
How did I give birth to such an amazingly gifted child? It certainly can't be her father's input in any way, shape or form!
I just read Radu's latest journal entry - and it MADE my night!!!
If you haven't had a chance to check out his journal...please do so asap!
Even a Jedi can appreciate the evil humor there...
tee hee...
Damn peeps - I cannot believe how many newer members portfolios are suspended for violation of terms of use. For chrissakes already...
When I was first here, yes, I put a few pics in port that were not supposed to be there (who has time to read everything when we are first getting started?) but I think it was Daire that kindly pointed out the TOS to me and I CORRECTED my port ASAP.
What is the dealio-yo with the newbies?
How hard is it to remove pictures that aren't allowed under the pretty lenient VR TOS?
Willl wonders never cease?
Just venting my spleen y'all.
