As I sat my board I realized that I could hear the shark coming. I was pretty far out and waiting for the bastard. Some little boy had had his leg bitten pretty near clean off two days ago and word got to me last night about it. I was on the hunt for this one. Reputed to be over 20 feet long. It would be a test of my skills to see if I could take him out without him biting my head off.



I bobbed with my board....up....down....up....down....waiting.



I felt it getting closer. I took my knife from its sheath and made a gash on my forearm and let the blood trickle into the water....drop by drop. My blood calling the Great White to me.

Walking down the beach I am listening to my I-Pod. "Let me stand next to your fire." No shit, we vamps are always freezin'.

I am here for the Gold Coast Surf Championships - not that I get to watch them during the day mind you. But it freaks everyone out when they are on the beach at night and I take to the waves.



When I catch the wave and they watch me ride - it blows their minds. Sometimes I get asked, "Why don't you compete, mate?" If I sense they are not cool and can dig the answer, I will usually take the stupid jerk off somewhere and have a little feast on their behalf. Then they know why not, don't they?



Mostly the mortals keep their distance and I never hurt ladies unless they hurt me first. I like to think I am nice to chicks - but I had one try to stab me once. She didn't make it.
