As most know, I get all of the Coven and House messages. This one popped up from a Coven that will remain unnamed. It was just too funny not to post here.
We are looking for a new Enthusiam Master. If you are interested, Please message me and let me know. Thanks
Is it me, or does it seem that something is terribly, terribly wrong when a Coven needs an "Enthusiasm Master?"
I'm still chuckling over this...
...let's go have a baby!
Catch ya later!
Heavy weather.
This isn't my ship, but it gives you a good idea of some of the weather I've experienced. The ship is (probably) a container vessel that is approximately 1000 feet long (300+m). The waves crashing over the bow are impressive, but check out the next part of the clip: the camera is at one end of an internal walkway that runs pretty much from bow to stern (front to back for you land lubbers). You can see the ship flex and bend with the weather. Ships are made of steel, yes, but they are designed to flex like that. :-) Listen closely and you'll hear some loud "clang!"s. Those are from waves slapping against the hull.
Next, you'll see a barograph. That's the cylinder with a pen that's drawing a line slowly down. This is showing barometric pressure. The lower the line, the lower the pressure the worse the storm. These fellas are in a pretty bad story. As evidenced by the guy's face rippling when he's standing in the wind.
About halfway through you'll see what looks like an electronic map. I can't see it too clearly, but that might be Japan. Looks like they are a couple of hundred miles of the east coast.
The end of the clip shows the view from the stern. They are probably about 25 feet or so off the water, so when you see the guy standing in front of the BIG wave..well yeah, that wave is probably 30 or so feet tall. (11 meters)
This is what we call "Shitty weather." enjoy.
I'll be traveling starting tomorrow. For those who care, I'll be back in the States (after crossing 13 time zones...UGH) sometime on the 12th.
If you have my phone numbers, my phone will be active sometime in the afternoon on the 11th.
Daniel Radcliffe shares my birthday. I don't know if that's even journal-worthy. (shrug)
One of the most interesting pieces of "true crime" reading I've run across in a long time. This is Law and Order stuff. Read all the way to the very last sentence.
