Happy Sweet 16th!

06:00 Jan 30 2006
Times Read: 864

The Sweet 16th birthday party was a solid 3 hour wild, hormone riddled, teen ride!

The weekend didn't slow down until tonight. Well a bit last night. Friday had to get the cake, get the supplies, get an Icee, and food, while mom was waiting at my house, arriving from Wann, Oklahoma, and get to 180 (the club we had the party at) by 6:00pm. Right after I arrived, and talked to Kim, the chick that runs the place on the weekends and Wednesday groups, Nathan's mom and I started decorating the place. By that time, the kids started showing up, so it was time to get the birthday girl there, stat.

Oh, I was running here and there and Djing and stressing over these kids breaking each other. The chick that runs the place, showed me the basics of the place and took off. It is also a Christian teen center, and so I was a bit worried about her walking in to Marilyn Manson and the guys moshing (which they started doing everytime I would play the heavy shit, and Manson), throwing each other around. Still, she is around kids all the time, so I know she understands.

Harmony was pulled in every direction the whole time, and having a ball. After the candle blowing and wish making, the cake was cut, and a few wanted to start throwing cake. Luckily I had left to go take a Xanax at about that time, and D stopped that shit. I had been taking care of it all before that, and had to take a breather. Nathan's mom Carol cut the cake.

The cake was so pretty! It was a picture of Harmony playing her violin, that I had taken.

I had a few issues with the stereo. It was a 5 disc player, and I had one disc in there. In hindsight, I should have just put them all in there and let it ride. But I didn't. There was too much going on to think properly. I had it on random, and had no idea what was on them individually anyway, since I had made them just the night before. The kids would ask for a specific song, but I couldn't always find it, because I had no idea of the order. But they really wanted a, "booty poppin' " song, for the last. haha....I wanted to play, "Don't cha" for the last, but couldn't find it and they were all waiting.

At the end, I knew Kim, the 180 manager chick, was coming back, but wasn't sure when. I was videotaping some kids shoulder wrestling, and saw her across from me, just standing off to the side, watching. You know that feeling that makes it's way down your body like a wave, like when you get caught? HAHA.....that's what that felt like, and I can't help but to wonder if she could see it in me from that distance. HAHA....I had, "Hollaback girl" playing, and that was about the time Gwen Stefani was singing, "That's my shit, that's my shit....this shit is b-a-n-a-n-a-s!", with all of them singing along with it. Sure, it was a fun time, but I hope the Chastity Bono look alike thought so too. She was very nice and I didn't want her to think we disrespected her place...which we didn't. I was told later that a ping pong paddle got broke, so we need to go replace that, even though she wouldn't expect us too, I am sure. But I need to do that. And sorta feel her out too, see how she felt about it. haha....Oh well, she was really nice when we talked afterwards, as I was yelling on the mic to thank everyone and wish Harmony a last HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Everyone spanked her repeatedly. Sore butt.

Friends and family came, from all around. We were all so grateful that everyone showed up and was so cool. She is going to start on her thank you notes tomorrow.

Harmony was thrilled and we were all exhausted. It was a smashing success. I am still a bit numb/reeling from it.

This, that, and the other lives we have lived

Here is Harmony's invite to her Sweet 16th Birthday party Friday, January 27th, 2006. I told her to invite everybody so we can fill that mutherfucker up! I printed up well over 100 invites. I am going to be burning off music for it tonight. I just need to get my shit together and do it. This ought to be quite a night for her.

I remember when she was about 4 or 5 years old. Everyone was at a drag show, and she was right there too. After the queens had finished with their show, Harmony got on stage, with a mic and lip sanc, "Short Dick Man". HA! She got $11 for that song, by other queens.

I ordered a huge cake with her picture copied to it, playing her violin. It is a lovely picture, though I haven't seen the cake yet. That is tomorrow.

I always throw great parties. One year I threw a surprise keg/drag party for D on his birthday. There were lots of drag queens, and an Elvis impersonator. I had it at the local techno club, though it is no longer here. Those were big years for having gay friends. I hardly have anyone around anymore. They left town or I lost touch. One came back to town. =)

Another year I threw a 2 keg, 7 cases of beer party for D, and the people that lived at the house ended up getting evicted the next day. Yea, it was great! We watch the video from that one occasionally. One part is of a local drunk that trips and spills beer on me and my dress. I tell him to walk on.

Things are quieter now. I don't throw parties anymore. For one thing, when you have after bar parties, you get cigarettes shoved into the carpet, beer spilled, and shit getting broken, drama and major dysfunctional people. At least at these bars you do. haha....That's not counting the horrible hangovers I used to have. I mean BAD...for days! And the panic attacks because of it. Ugh.....But we used to have the after bar party thing down to an art.

Now my mind goes back to the time I played with a raccoon for hours once, in someone's garage, at some other after bar party. HA! I was the last one out there, hours later. Funny...

Remembering another time, I walked out into a garage, with my always with me, trusty video camera, while a group of people were cooking something in a spoon and got testy about the live camera. HA! I'm like, "What?". HA...

Let's see, what else....numerous fights on camera at the bar....drunk asses, a few literal, a few mine. I was so aggressive (mainly sexually) when I drank. I sorta miss that careless abandon, though now I wish I could let it go and not regret so much.

But hell, I've danced on tables, and bars, I've skinny dipped, I've stripped, I've hung out windows feeling the warm summer air on my face, I've dared trains, I've car surfed, I've danced, I've rode motorcycles, I've been part of a band for a song and shaked the egg, I've sang kareoke, I've loved a lot and often and I've made love in the country, on the steps, and the hood of my car, plus so much more, so life hasn't been dull, I can tell you that. Life is for living, right Jamie?! No regrets...

I saw a brown van tonight, with "the power of meat" bumper stickers on it. It was pretty funny. And one that I couldn't read very well was beside the others. I figured it said something about meat as well. :P I thought of all the bumper stickers in the world they could put on their auto, and they chose meat stickers. I thought you would find that amusing. I need to put that in my journal.

Bumper sticker snicker

03:01 Jan 20 2006
Times Read: 901

I saw a bumper sticker tonight on the way home from Sally's Beauty supply. It said, "Assume nothing". I thought that was humorous. It was ironic, since we do so often and without hesitation. All of us. Well, we are conditioned from a young age. We cry, they pick us up. When I cry, I still want to be picked up.

At Sally's...Biolage's Biotera Conditioning shampoo, Biolage's Biotera Leave-In conditioner, Matrix's Generic Root lift, and a medium size hair clip.

What the ... do we know?

02:52 Jan 20 2006
Times Read: 902

I saw the movie, "What the ... do we know?!" the other night. It is great and it is what I think about a lot. It is a mixture of quantum physics, new age thought, old thought, theological theories....it's wonderful. It's full of what I believe and have tried to tell others about, and new concepts that strike chords within, and you feel that you already knew it. You most likely already do, but had forgotten. Most of it, is like...what you feel but can't explain to others, and this movie is good about articulating these feelings and wisdom.

I would highly suggest it if you haven't. It provokes us to want to change ourselves and the world. We have to be the change we wish to see.

In it, there is a part about the language of water. That is also something I have been talking about, to a certain degree. How it influences us anyway....but this shows that we influence IT, and has been proven now.

How we all influence the world is in this new book and that movie...and it's wonderful and beautiful. I want to get both, the movie and book. Here is the link to read about the water thing. Read this page!

I am unwritten!

"Unwritten"

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined

I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you

Open up the dirty window

Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance

So close you can almost taste it

Release your inhibitions

Feel the rain on your skin

No one else can feel it for you

Only you can let it in

No one else, no one else

Can speak the words on your lips

Drench yourself in words unspoken

Live your life with arms wide open

Today is where your book begins

The rest is still unwritten

Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines

We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way

Staring at the blank page before you

Open up the dirty window

Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance

So close you can almost taste it

Release your inhibitions

Feel the rain on your skin

No one else can feel it for you

Only you can let it in

Trying to push the buttons

08:01 Jan 18 2006
Times Read: 918

I had someone trying to push some buttons tonight. I responded:

"You needn't remind me of what the faq says. I already know.

The rules also say that we can be here and not harassed and cursed at. Being civil is part of being alive and an adult. I shouldn't have to remind you of that, anymore than you to remind me of the rules of the site I Admin at.

I am not getting in the middle of why so and so did whatever so and so did. I am responding to someone that is being violated verbally and I am investigating it. I am asking that you refrain from further verbally harming others and bringing negativity to this world. Beyond that, I shall lay it in Cancer's lap."

Boy, they almost got me. Luckily I got the hell out of that shit. It had been awhile since they tried that crap. Back into stealth mode!

Palm Z22!

Times Read: 932

I got my first Palm Z22 tonight! Yay! I was waiting and whining and saving for it. It is so cute. I was so worried it wouldn't work (still on the edge of anxious), like the other 2 I got. But this was from Staples, and was $100 instead of the $30 I was getting from Wal-Mart. I have been working with it for the past few hours. Even know I am adding addresses to it, while on here. Though, I think it's time to log out and finish this other project....and bathe. Things seem to be doing fine here at the moment, quiet and calm. I like that.

Concerts I've seen

08:00 Jan 05 2006

I was thinking about some of the concerts I have been to. So I compiled a list. I wonder if I have them all? I lost my list.

David Lee Roth

Def Leppard

Moby

KISS (2 times)

Mississippi All Stars (too many times to count)

Neil Diamond

Tesla

Cinderella

The Cult

Weezer (They were with the Cult, what can I say?)

Depeche Mode (twice)

Poe

The Bravery

Type O Negative

Pantera

Flock of Seagulls

Gene Loves Jezabel

Missing Persons

Wang Chung

Bush

Not sure if this is it. I may be adding Seether to this in about a month, as we know the sound guy from them, and if he gets us on the list, I shall be going and might be sitting on the tour bus. ;)

Happy New Year!

06:04 Jan 02 2006
Times Read: 942

We drove quite a bit last night, looking for that damn cemetary, but did not find it. Though, we did find the church that was BY it...so we were in the right vicinity. There were TONS of dirt roads, and that's what we were on most of the time. We both captured several orb shots at the church.

The stars were beautiful though, and crystal clear! The whole sky was covered by a blanket of stars. It was wonderful. I felt I could float up to become part of that sky and it would be ok. I was the sky.

It wasn't too terribly cold, though the wind was blowing, bringing down the temps. I wasn't panicky at that time and it was so nice and peaceful out there in the middle of nowhere. I did have the stereo on though, with the hip hoppin'/classics/etc., going, with an Icee. ;)

Midnight found us on yet another dirt road, somewhere in Northwestern Oklahoma. That was just fine with me. In fact, I had fun.

Then to Wal-Mart for snacks and light shopping. Back home again to eat chips, dip and watch one of my favorite movies, The Goonies, some Curb your Enthusiasm, and to bed.
