Along the way, there are a few high profile people following me on Twitter. Haha.....Sinbad, Jerry Seinfeld, Pleasure Ellis and Jordan Rubin. I find that amusing and interesting.
Just listened to the first recording on http://www.oliverwillis.com/2010/08/12/dr-laura-schlessinger-says-nigger-repeatedly-on-air/#comment-244754
I've sorta ignored all this, until I saw a post on Anne Rice's FB wall tonight. Thought I would post what I put on the site with the recording. Meh, whatever, in the end, ya know? Sometimes I just don't want to fuck with it anymore. But anyway...
I see nothing wrong at all with what she said, and she was absolutely correct. Black people us...e the word all the time and it's ok? That is confusing to everyone else. And because black people use it so freely, it sends the message that it's just another ok word to use. If they don't like it, don't use it!
Some people are way too sensitive about it and want to use the race card every chance they get because they are pissed at how their life didn't turn out and want to blame others. It's all in your INTENTION. If your intention is to hurt another person when you say a word, even if it's cracker, bicycle, white bread, whatever the word, if there's hate or a put down attitude behind it, that's racism. I don't care what the word is. But if it's in a playful way, what's the fking harm?! And remember, racism goes BOTH WAYS. Acknowledge that.
What I loved, was this line, because I could wholeheartedly identify with it: " 'I think Dr. Laura really, really cares and is sensitive and suffers great emotional stress when these things happen to her. And I think this one just pushed her over the edge," he said.
"She's a unique personality — strength and fragility all in one package," Harrison added, comparing her to watching Judy Garland trying to hit a note. "When she hit it, it was great. When she didn't, she might have a meltdown right on stage.' "

I commented on Facebook. But, I don't think she could have been *more* in the wrong. If she didn't think so she would have never issued an apology later. Good Riddance, Laura... in my book anyway.
