If you've come this far, you probably know exactly who I am. Therefore, it stands to reason you wish to know more about me.
Permit me to oblige.
I have been a vampire enthusiast since age eight, when my father rented the original "Dracula" with the incomparable Bela Lugosi for Halloween. Ever since then, vampires, and monsters, demons, and folkloric creatures of all sorts have fascinated and intrigued me. It was no accident that my first novel, and the first of an envisioned trilogy, features a vampire.
While I deviate from canon in many ways (no aversion to the cross, my vampire not only can eat but loves garlic, etc.), in many ways I stayed true to it. The vampire I have created is a teeming mass of contradictions and conflicted feelings, united only by one single-minded goal: the innocent must be protected at any cost.
In this respect, my vampire is no different than any of us: conflicted, torn in multiple directions by the dictums of society, his own conscience, and his unique moral code. It is through my vampire that I most truly reveal my true self, the deepest, innermost me that resonates beneath my frail flesh and bone: my loves, hatreds, fears, and lusts.
He is no saint. Nor am I. To learn more, about either of us, you have but to ask. I have no secrets, no taboos; there is no line one may cross with me, and I raise no sacred cows.
I welcome you all into my world, and hope that you, in turn, will welcome me into yours.
