“It’s almost dawn, shall we go to the crypt?” he said smiling softly.
“Yes, but allow me to get dressed.” she blushed softly.
“I have one question, you are so sensitive why is that?” He grinned.
“I think you know, you seem to know more than you let on but just so you hear it from my lips, I have never done that…till now…” she finished pulling her clothes on and looked up at him, she turned away and started towards the crypt without him.
“Wait up Ivy,” he said smiling broadly. “Please wait?”
Ivy stopped awaiting his slow ass to catch up to her. “Are you coming or not?”
The night was close to an end and the day was full of many fragrances. The day passed quickly for her she awoke before the others, only a half an hour earlier. Which was unusual; she normal was awake a full hour sooner. The smell of gasoline hit her so strong it almost knocked her down... someone was in the manor trying to destroy them. It was a good thing she was an early riser. She would wake before the sun was set this gave her an advantage. She decided to track down the intruders and fool them into thinking she was a victim of the demons...as they called us. She could smell they gas they were caring around trying to find them and destroy them with. She had to find them first; before they reached the others. Who couldn't rise until the sun was set.Thirty minutes she’d have to stale them so she had to find these guys and keep them busy, or kill them. She was walking up the stairs when she spotted them. They didn't even hear her walk up behind them. They didn't notice her until she spoke to them. “Help me…” she whispered like a scared child. The man closest to her hurried to her and picked her up off of the floor where she had just fallen. His short black hair shined softly and his blue eyes met hers and locked.
The other man screamed to him. “NO! She might be one of them!” his long red hair was tied back and his green eyes burned into her skin.
The other man who was holding her said, “No she's not or she would have already killed us!"
She looked up at him and said, “Who are you?”
“I am Samuel Harrison, and what is your name, may I ask?”
“I am Royce…that’s al you need to know…”
“My name is Ivy Maria Lowell. I am the daughter of Mr. Jonathan Lowell III. My father owns the Lowerly Castle. I was grabbed in the night and locked in a room. I got out through a window, I then climbed through another window and I started wandering around till I stumbled on the monsters sleeping! They are sleeping in coffins! You have got to save me.”
“I don't trust her. How did you get away from them?” Royce asked.
“They were asleep in their coffins. They can't move in the day. The sun will destroy them.”
“How do you know that?” Royce asked.
“I over heard one telling their slaves, that they would stop until tomorrow when the sun is gone down. Please say you believe me!”
“I believe you Miss. Ivy I understand how painful this has been; but can you take us to them?” Sam said.
“Why we have to get out of here before the sunsets...or we will all die! Why would you want to see them?”
“To destroy those damn creatures girl, why else?” Royce yelled.
“Your insane... that’s what you are insane! Do you know what they can do to you, do you?”
“Yes, we do.” Sam said.
“Then why do you endanger your life this way?”
“Why are you stalling?” Royce glared at her.
“Because; I don't want to die; at the hands of one of those things! Let me out of here!”
“I am afraid I can't do that.” Royce said smiling.
“What why?” she asked softly.
“You’re going to take us there or I am going to kill you.” Royce said smiling broader.
“Oh, my god you are insane!”
“Kill her!” Royce yelled to Sam.
“Alright, I'll show you.”
The sun had set and the group was awake she could sense them. They had started to rise from their slumbers. They slowly rose from their coffins, not one making a single noise, these men were stupid to come to fight vampires so close to sunset, no one in their right mind would, hunters knew to fight them in the day while they are vulnerable.
“Get to moving!” Royce yelled at her pushing her forward.
“I am!” she yelled turning around to face him.
She led them up to the group after she told them what was going on. She was able to talk to them telepathically. They were waiting for their play time. They thanked her for not killing them and for saving their lives. They walked in and they sprang on to the two men they didn't kill them right off they wanted to play with them.
“You tricked us; I knew you were one of them damn things, a murdering evil monster!” Royce yelled at her.
“No, I told you I didn't want to bring you here, but you wouldn't listen to me!” Ivy said softly.
“You look so innocent how could you be a monster like them?” Sam asked, starring in disbelief.
“I told you not to trust her, but you didn't listen to me!” he yelled staring at the girl.
“I am not like them I have never truly killed anyone till now!” she reached out and grabbed the man called Royce and completely drained him of all life and broke his neck.
The others were all exited finally after all this time she had finally lost all of her innocence, after a thousand years. There was cheering from most and a few smiles from those who felt it was unnecessary for such behavior.
“Take this one too Ivy.” said ShiTora and Ashrum at the same time.
“Don't pressure her!” said her blood sister and Grandmother Poison.
“I do not want him killed.” Ivy’s eyes met Poison’s light brown eyes.
"Why not?" asked Ashrum.
“He did not let that guy kill me and he was nice to me...please let him go.”
"No!" said Ashrum.
“Why not!”
"He tried to destroy all of us!" Shitora yelled as well.
“He will go freely and unharmed! If she desires it,” Selos said in her defense.
"Kill him!" said Ashrum.
“Never! I will not allow it! I will kill all of you who try it!” Ivy growled.
"Don't be afraid of her she's not strong enough to hurt you!" said Ashrum.
“Just try me then!” Ivy’s eyes went white in anger.
“Fine I will!” Ashrum Yelled.
He flew at her she grabbed his ankle and threw him into the wall. Then all of them except for Poison and a few others who were loyal to Ivy, joined in to attack her. She fought them all off, slamming them into the ground and the wall.
Ivy told Ashrum, “He will leave unharmed you have clearly lost!”
“Never, I will not allow it!” He Attacked her again She drew her sword and stabbed him in the side. Poison seeing that Ivy was winning, told Ashrum to back off and leave them alone. Let him leave in peace if she is willing to be killed for his safety.
“Unless, you wish to turn him into one of us, then he can stay with you.” Poison said softly.
“No, he most likely has a caring family.” Ivy said immediately.
“I don't, I want to be what you are, to be with you.” Sam said softly.
“Are you sure?” Poison asked.
“Yes, I am.” He said smiling at Ivy.
“Alright, then do it,” said Poison.
“I can't, do it!” Ivy cried out it horror.
“Do it or he dies!” Poison yelled.
“Alright,” with that she took him in the embrace... and released the last of her innocence.
He awoke to her the next night. She smiled at him and lowered her head till she was almost kissing him, before lowering her head and then allowed her soft lips to press gently at first and then she kissed harder. Her kiss was deep and passionate. She slowly pulled away and looked into his eyes.
“How do you feel Sam?”Solas said as he walked into the room, not seeing the kiss.
“Please don't call me Sam, call me Estrum.” he said smiling.
“Ok, Estrum it is. How are you?” Solas said, looking over to Ivy.
“I'm doing great and you?” he looked to Ivy and smiled.
“I'm just fine, matter of fact I've never been better!” Solas said starring at ivy and feeling the hunger once again build.
“Really are you being truthful?” Ivy asked afraid he was mad about her turning Estrum.
“Yes I am.” Solas said smiling.
“Well I'm glad your better and not so angry, and now with me!”Solas said smiling.
“Solas, I am not with anyone but myself, why all of a sudden am I getting all this attention?” Ivy glared.
“Do you ever miss being human?” Estrum said trying to change the subject.
“Yes, I think we all do once in a while why?” Solas said, eyeing Estrum.
“I miss my mother; can I see her without her knowing?” Estrum said looking to Ivy.
“Well I don't know, I never got to go see my mother, ever she's dead.” Ivy said looking down at the floor.
“I'm sorry; I didn't mean anything, to upset you!” Estrum said with worry in his tone.
“Its okay, she was dead the day I was born....I have never met her.” she smiled faintly.
“Well where are we going from here?” Estrum asked softly.
“That depends on what Poison wants to do.” Solas said annoyed with the hundred and one questions.
“Who are all the others?” Estrum asked curiously.
“Ashrum is Poisons lover, so is Shitora. She is the leader…she makes all the decisions. She always has and always will I figure.” Ivy said softly.
“Why?” He asked looking to the other two for information.
“She is the oldest and the mother of all vampires, the beginning and the end…” Solas said drearily.
“Huh?” Ivy and Estrum said together.
“Nothing, it’s not really important.” Solas mumbled.
“Alright, then where to now, I know you are going to go and move this place now that other hunters know where this is.” Estrum said smiling and hopeful.
“Well, not necessarily, see the thing is, Poison may decide to reside here a while due to the hunters we will not have to search for food it will come to us.” Solas said getting more annoyed; the man asked too many questions.
“I see, never thought of it that way…” He said looking at Ivy.
“I wish I could have sent you away as a human…but I am also happy you are here; you are one of the only one as you will see that I get along with…”Ivy said looking at him and then to Solas.
“Why is that?” he said raising an eyebrow.
“I am well…Poison is my Grandmother, her daughter is my mother, it’s a long story, my mother is the lover of an angel I was the out come I am half angel, half vampire, not really a good combination, you saw my first kill…I have been alive for a thousand years and I had never killed; but in order to turn you, as I knew I’d have to, I had to give up that innocence.”
“I am sorry Ivy…” he lowered his head and looked at the ground, he knew what she was talking about it was a legend told by the elders of a beautiful, vampire girl, who never killed any humans and suffered with the pain of not feeding…”
“Please, it’s alright, I will live,” Ivy smiled softly.
“Ivy!” Ashrums voice echoed the manor “Come here to the main chamber, I need to talk to you…it’s important, and bring your pet…” he growled.
“Stay close to me…I don’t like his tone or the feelings I am getting, from the others…” Ivy shivered, she felt distrust, anger, hate and even a hint of desire to kill her, and many believed my actions over the human were actions of betrayal.
“Are you worried?” Estrum asked.
“More than you know…” she looked up at him and kissed Solas’s lips softly.
Ivy felt more than she first felt a few minutes ago as she entered the main chamber to the manor. More importantly, she saw it in their eyes and how that they were now looking at her. She shifted her body as she made her way into the center looking up at Poison’s thrown seat, the others closed in behind Ivy and Estrum. Ivy knew this was a trial not a meeting, her fate and his was about to be put in the hands of Poison. Ivy respectfully dropped to her knees in front of Poison, Estrum followed her lead.
“Arise Ivy, why do you kneel, in front of me?”
“I feel it is necessary due to the feelings I am receiving from my peers, as if I am going to be put on trial, or punished here…”
“Oh, well, I see they were unable to hide their emotions from you, well, it is true they feel you betrayed us yesterday, with your actions over this man, they are uneasy with how you acted, lashing out on us.”
“I know, I am sorry, I did not realize that I was trusted so little, I who have saved their lives all many times before, and have not hesitated to fight off their attackers and carry them to safety when they themselves were to weak to move.” Ivy’s eyes were clouding.
“We have not forgotten what you have done for us in the past Ivy; we are merrily concerned with your behavior yesterday.”
“Is that so, and then tell me why they beg for you to kill me? Do you think me that weak, that I do not here their chanting as you do, I am NOT my mother, I have never betrayed you, but still I am condemned by you to death, Why?”
“Poison allow me the pleasure to kill her!” Ashrum said smiling.
“Be careful Ashrum, do remember I am not a weak child, I will not be killed so easy…Poison, please make your decision, but if it is you no longer want me here then banish me from the group till you decide otherwise, if it means I have to fight for the way out then fine I will if I must but do not forget this day, For I never will, my mother was a fool, I will admit that with no problem but I am not, I have not betrayed you in any way that I know of so remember that.”
“I will remember this day Ivy, you are my Granddaughter, I will not allow any but me to kill you, but unfortunately you have unknowingly betrayed the trust of my coven, and are banished here forth till you are deemed fit to rejoin us. Now leave before I change my mind, you have one hour to leave my manor.”
“I understand, I will be gone then, you know how to contact me…” With that the tears slowly and softly fell down my cheeks as I made my way to my room and left the room.
Many of the other vampires saw this and nodded, many knew this was an unfair trial, and there were other motives for the banishment even though they were unclear at the moment. A few went to talk to Poison, to see what was going on.
“Poison, my mistress, please hear me, why is Ivy being banished truly?” Selos asked.
“For as I stated betrayal of the coven.” her eyes narrowed, “why do you question my judgment?”
“Then allow me and any who wish to keep her safe go with her…” His eyes met hers and he stared into the darkness awaiting her answer.
“As they wish all who leave can only return when I deem her worthy to return, is that fair enough for you Selos?” her anger laced her words.
“Yes…I take my leave to pack then my mistress, till you deem her worthy once again to sit at your side as the granddaughter who loves you…” his eyes met hers then he turned in a flash and was gone. He gathered any who thought this trial was unfair and felt there was more to it then it seemed, unknown to Ivy, she packed and tears fell softly.
“Ivy you will be alright.” Estrum said softly and gently wiped the tears from her eyes, “It is not death…”
“Yes it is, to her I am dead you are still not powerful enough to hear the words of her or the others telepathically, so you missed most of the discussion. I am banished till I prove myself worthy to her, I will never be able to do that, for my mother betrayed her and I am the result of the betrayal. The proof my grandmothers powers are not the highest power there is.”
Ivy’s door opened and seven others walked in, her eyes met theirs and she softly bit her lip afraid they to were going to call her a betrayer. Selos walked over to Ivy and embraced her tightly, and kissed her lips softly. Ivy looked to see; who the other six vampires were: Leo, Akira, Thrista, Lucian, Louie, and Lieyanna.
“We have been allowed to leave and only return when you are considered worthy by Poison; we leave here by our choice to go with you to help keep you safe.”
“You should not have, we will never be…or I will never be considered worthy again.”
“That is not true, one day she will regret her decision and have you return.” Lieyanna said smiling softly.
“Don’t hold your breath, Lieyanna; there is more to this banishment than what meets the eye…” Selos said and the others nodded in agreement.
“We need to leave are you finished packing Ivy?” Lucian said sternly.
“I am as ready as I am ever going to be…please forgive me for my weakness and for the tears…” Ivy’s head dropped as she now stared at the floor as they made their way to the door.
“That is not a weakness my dear child, it is a rarity to see that I wish I could do it ever once in a while as well.” Thrista said smiling.
Ivy walked through the manors second largest room on the way out and ended up face to face with Ashrum, his eyes stared deep into hers and he spoke to her in her mind.
“Do you wish to know why she is banishing you…” he smirked. “It is because you grow too popular with the coven so she turned them against you, and it’s partly my fault as well for asking her to allow me to have you…” he said and looked deeper into her eyes.
“You did what; are you that insane?!? You fool; no wonder that I am now banished…” Ivy shook her head and walked out the doors and sighed deeply.
“Ivy, we will find a place out there of our own, we follow you as our new clan mother.” Selos said smiling.
“What do you meant by Clan mother?” Estrum said confused as he looked to Selos for explanation.
“Ivy, why does he not know these things? Did you not pass knowledge?” Selos said as he looked at the vampire Halfling.
“I chose not to…” She said starring into the distance. “He will be taught, I was unsure of his loyalty so I chose not to pass any knowledge. Do you feel I did wrong Selos you who refused to pass knowledge to the one you sired of how to use the powers?”
“There is nothing wrong with what you did I am rather impressed by your ability to do that as well, and as for that last comment, I chose to make him learn it so he could master it and have a feeling of true earned power.” he said scowling, he hated to be questioned or attacked by the others for his actions.
Ivy began walking towards the south away from Poison’s domain, they must be to shelter before day break. She searched her mind and the horizon for a shelter till the next day a manor on the hill to her right caught her attention. It was the manor she had spoken of before, she wondered if any of her family still remained in the manor. She wore the symbol of the family so she and her party would be given a place to rest due to the loyalty to the family. She walked up to the door and knocked upon it loudly, any asleep would be making their way to the door. She listened to the sounds of foot steps. A man opened the door his green eyes sparkled; he slowly pushed back his long black hair and looked at her seal. He motioned for them to come in.
“My Lady, please come in, I am sorry that the Lord of the manor Count Del Monico has not yet returned from his trip so he is unable to greet you, I will see you to your rooms if you are ready, I know you are tired and need the sleep.” the man said softly, “I am Raven the lords right hand man.”
“Thank you Sir Raven, I am Lady Ivy, and yes we are very tired and in need of rest.” Ivy’s eyes looked forward at her own face above the fire place. “Tell the Lord to wake me when he arrives.”
“Yes Mistress, this way to the crypt, yes, young one we are both vampires.” He said looking to Estrum, “Do remember some of us can read your mind or hear your thoughts. Be careful what you think.” he said starring at the young one with suspicion.
Ivy followed Raven through the crypt to her very own coffin from her mortal death she smiled softly and nodded that this was very appropriate. She climbed in with help from Raven, and Selos, both staring the other down. She laid down softly against the red silk of her coffin and closed her eyes as Raven slid the lid shut. Ravens lead the others to a coffin and told them he’d open the lids if they were unable to the next night. He walked back to Ivy’s coffin and smiled, the Count would be very happy to see her. He had read her dairy and poetry from before her rebirth to the darkness, she was pureblood, but she was able to have a human life till her eighteenth birthday where she was killed in an accident. Well that’s what the records said, but the master had decided that this was a lie to cover the fact that the girl was murdered. She had seen something that she should not have, or that she was killed by someone to punish her father, or whatever along those lines. Now the master would know the truth, It was odd that she was a vampire, the master and he had been here and all along thought that she was a mere human, and her body had been taken to hide the truth.
The day passed by slowly and a black carriage pulled up in front of the manor, the Count walked out and quickly dashed to the door. He made his way towards the crypt he could hear the others and wondered why Raven had allowed them here. His anger level was very high to the point of screaming, one of them was in the coffin he used! He pulled back the lid and gasped softly to himself, the girl in the painting was alive…well was still walking the world. His eyes washed over her form, she was more beautiful than the painting portrayed the painter should be ashamed he had not captured her beauty at all. He softly caresses her cheek; her blue green eyes opened and looked up at him. He smiled softly and leaned closer to kiss her lips softly.
His deep blue eyes pulled her deep within them; his pale blond hair softly touched her skin. His lips softly touched hers, and then his kiss was harder and full of desire. Ivy pulled away and softly spoke.
“Are you the Count?” She asked softly.
“I am, and you are the late Lady Ivy of this very manor, I took the name of the castle when I moved here.” he said smiling.
“I am honored, Count, but why are my portraits and everything still hanging all over this manor?”
“I have found you to be very interesting and I desire to know what happened on your eighteenth birthday my most beautiful house guest.”
“I was murdered by the neighboring lord when my father refused to pay my ransom, saying his heir was more important than his daughter.” Ivy stared off into the counts eyes the truth was she wasn’t really her father’s child and he knew it.
“Please my Lady follow me to the back, If you will?” the count asked softly.
“Why?” she asked softly in almost a whisper.
“Just do it…” he sighed
“Fine if you insist I will go with you, lead the way ole mighty one.” she giggled softly.
He opened the secret door she had found as a child, the on that lead to the cave under the manor to a nice size waterfall and a deep lagoon type water. The only exit was through a small tunnel under water. Her eyes traveled over the area it was the same as it always had been. She had started hiding in here when her father got angry.
“You read my journal I see, you know so much about me and as of the moment I know nothing of you, or what you want with me…” Ivy said a little unnerved.
Her heart started beating rapidly. The moonlight shined down on her. Her pale white skin and hair glittered in the moons light as she danced alone in the darkness. She was part of a group of several other vampires and many hybrids. They worked together in a group in order to protect each other. She was unaware that she was being watched. She softly sat down on the grass and looked upward at the stars as they twinkled above her head. Her voice traveled in the darkness it was an ancient song of lost love and the desire to meet again, she sang it in the language most had forgotten the Elves language. She smiled softly and stopped singing; as a man walked towards her it was Selos.
“I did not mean to interrupt such beautiful dancing,” he said smiling, “or singing for that matter.”
Ivy’s face turned a deep red and smiled softly. “You know it’s not nice to make others embarrassed.”
“Sorry… I enjoyed it; it was very beautiful to watch you dance and to hear of the fate of the lovers, from one who has the voice of an angel.” he looked up from under his long black hair and Ivy’s eyes sunk into his deep green pools.
“Selos…” Ivy blushed deeper and softly bit her lip he was making her feel funny.
“Yes…Ivy…” He smiled softly and pulled her to her feet then pulled her face close to his.
“I…” Her heart jumped, and she blushed even redder his lips hovered so close to hers it was torturing, why her, what had she done to provoke him?
He smiled broadly and leaned forward kissing her lips softly, he then kissed her deeper and harder, with more need and desire. He pulled her close into his arms and his hands wrapped around her back. His eyes locked on her face as she melted into the kiss, he smiled and pulled away softly, only letting her lips free, and he held her tightly to him.
“Selos….” she said confused.
“Yes Ivy?” he said again smiling.
“Why did you kiss me? Not that I am complaining…” Ivy said meekly.
“I don’t know I am drawn to you little one…” he grinned knowing that would make her mad.
“Selos you ass, she tried to pull away but it made him hold tighter to her…” she looked up and saw his smile, what was going on with him, had he lost his mind?
“Ivy, I mean that in age wise not height, and you might as well get use to this, I have fallen…and it is your fault.” he said in all seriousness.
Ivy’s eyes widened she was speechless for the first time in a thousand years. She was so stunned; she laid her head against his chest and closed her eyes. She waited for him to continue speaking, or for him to walk away.
“I will see you shortly I have some unfinished business with Poisons lap dogs if I can find them.” he released her and gently sat her back on the ground and smiled at her before turning and walking towards the manor.
Ivy was still in shock, everyone knew Selos was very mysterious, he never showed his emotions. Her blue green eyes followed him till he disappeared into the house, and as soon as he did Leo appeared in front of her. His long brown hair softly brushed her cheek as he lowered himself next to her, his icy blue eyes looked into hers.
“What just happened Ivy?” he said with a curious look on his face.
“I wish I knew…” Ivy said softly as her eyes raised to meet his again, “He’s your sire tell me what’s going on.”
“I wish I knew, I’d tell you for sure, but I am as lost as you are or well almost, I’ve never seen my sire do that before.” He smiled softly, “Will you sing a song for me?”
“Does everyone spy on me?” Ivy said a little annoyed that she seemed to have no privacy.
“I am so sorry; I heard your song in the back courtyard…” His eyes looked at the ground.
“It’s fine…I am sorry I snapped on you.” Ivy’s eyes starred into the distance. “Sure I’ll sing a song for you…”
She stared into the distance and sang softly allowing her voice to carry as she began to sing louder this song was of a battle that neither side won and she sung of the tears that fell in vain from the eyes of those who lost their loved ones. Her eyes never moved from the distance she sang of a battle that had happened during her life time. Though the language was that of the elves; the battle was not of their time or even in their knowledge. She paused and looked over at Leo.
“Do you know what I was saying?” she asked realizing not all knew that language.
“No, but it was pretty…” He said blushing.
“Let me sing it so you can understand it then.” She smiled softly and restarted. {INSERT SONG}
“That was truly amazing, so it is a true story…?” he looked up and saw Ivy nod, “How sad, men can be so stubborn…”
“Yes, and the same is true of women like the song of another who awaited the return of her love and she waited in vain…”Ivy looked up to see him waiting for it to be sung. “How about I sing that another day, remind me when you need to hear something alright?”
He nodded and stood up walking towards the manor he could tell she wanted to be alone to sort through the events of the night. He passed Ashrum as he walked by the fountain. He stopped to talk to him, wondering why he was there staring at Ivy.
“Hey Ashrum…” he eyed Ashrum for a second before walking away. “Well everyone is weird tonight but Ivy and me…”
Ashrum’s long brown hair blew softly in the wind as he walked towards Ivy, his hazel eyes watched Ivy’s every move. His eyes had a yellowish tint that was fading meaning something not to long ago had angered him. He stood above Ivy; he placed a hand in her long white hair, she turned facing him her face was blank, her eyes looked into Ashrum’s she noticed the yellow and guessed that Selos had talked to him already.
“Ashrum are you alright?” Ivy asked her voice wavered a little, as she noticed his expression.
“No, I am not alright Ivy, How could you let him kiss you?” His eyes glowed yellow again.
“What, you’ve been watching me all this time? What nerve you have, Ashrum, do not forget you are Poison’s lover, I am not betraying her so find another who is that stupid…” Ivy’s eyes were white completely, it happened like his when she was really angry. “You’ve got some nerve…leave no Ashrum, before Poison realizes you’re gone and decides to look for you…”
“Ivy, I will have you, one way or another, you will be my woman, don’t be surprised when I ask Poison, for you as a gift of loyalty to her…” he smirked he said as he walked back to the manor.
“Don’t be surprised when she punishes you for asking…” Ivy’s voice was like ice and it followed him.
Anger boiled in her how dare he spy on her and then tell her that, he had nerve. She sighed softly and shook her head, the moonlight reflected on the water and it was to inviting to pass up, she walked slowly to the water and allowed her clothes to slip off her body the cloth rippled over her skin till it fell in a pile on the ground. She stepped into the water and she slowly submerged herself into the deep water, it was cool and refreshing it seemed to melt away the confusion and anger with ease. Ivy slowly swam up to the surface and made her way towards the bank water rippled over her pale white skin as if she was coated in a thin layer of oil, her hair clung to her breasts and covered them as she made her way inward. She looked to where her clothes were and standing next to them was Selos and Leo. Ivy blushed red and sighed softly they would not leave even on threat the sun was rising, she climbed out of the water and picked up her blanket wrapping it around her to dry off.
“Is this spy on Ivy day?” she asked a little annoyed.
“No, why do you say that?” Selos asked raising an eyebrow.
“First you, then Leo, then Ashrum and his tantrum and then you and Leo…” Ivy hissed.
“So, Ashrum was watching you then, damn I hopped he was not going to be a problem.” Selos said annoyed.
“A problem, about what…what are you up to Selos?” Ivy asked angrily, as a puddle formed where she was standing.
“Me, nothing, and whatever do you mean?” He said pulling her into his embrace for the second time tonight, and kissing her passionately again.
Her face went red from the blushing and in anger, she pulled away, “What makes you think you…” she couldn’t deny her feelings, she couldn’t even speak another word. She grabbed her clothes and walked towards the manor tears gently falling down her face. “Damn this night, and all its happenings.” she whispered to the darkness that followed.
“Leo, did she mean that for me?” Selos asked, concerned.
“No, Ashrum really upset her, he yelled at her for allowing you to kiss her, and then proclaimed his plans to make her his woman, one way or another, he plans on asking Poison to give her to him as a reward for his loyalty…does he not realize how jealous she is…I am afraid of what’s going to happen to Ivy when that happens.” Leo said with a hint of worry in his voice.
“I see, no wonder she is upset, she knows the wrath of Poison, remember what happened after Ivy’s birth, Poison murdered the child’s mother, for the betrayal…of a half angel, half vampire child and swore if she ever saw the father he to would die at her unmerciful hands.” Selos said and sighed deeply, “I’m going after her you are free to roam as you wish…”
Leo nodded and walked away towards the town. Selos made his way towards the manor and flew up to Ivy’s window softly knocking on it. Ivy opened the window and stepped back, still undressed, but was now dry. Her eyes met his, he saw the tears and pulled her into a gently but caring embrace.
“Ivy, I am sorry…”he said, but Ivy cut him off.
“No, you have nothing to be sorry for, I am not mad with you.” he head rested softly on his chest and she sighed softly. “I do care for you and I know you know it, I just don’t know why you care for me…”
“Silly girl, you should be able to figure that out look you are beautiful, smart, caring and a spitfire when mad but you are so serene.” he looked down at her and smiled.
