From Bijou:
I think, there for I am single
I know what you mean, hon...love it! LOL!
COMMENTS
I am single...therefore..I don't give a damn!
*ponders a new kismet*
Lol, true, to keep a relationship one must not think!!
i think
therefore i made myself single.
by thinking too much.? hahah
I saw this in a newbie's profile...(honey - I can relate):
Due to the fact that I soon will have nothing to eat, looking for someone to feed me and take care of me.
I just rated a guy a 1 for being part of a hate group.
COMMENTS
and now they have made you a hater, they win lol
I disagree,
it doesn't make you a hater because you have rated the person a 1. It shows your disgust at the person having the audacity to write it in their profile. I would have done the same ; )
Well AYW...I hate haters...LOL!
And thank you, Theban. For those people who actually read my profile, I clearly state that I will rate anyone 1 for being a racist, anti-Semite, homophobic, etc.
at your window does have a point....
So true, actually. But I ain't the lovey-dovey turn the other cheek type.
Good for you I would so the same thing. They need to keep their point of view to themselves
I've been wanting to read my covenmates' journals for quite a while...finally did it today. A few were already on my fave journal list...
We have a few talented writers in our bunch! And some are totally whacky - which I love!
Do you know that there are over FIFTY baby bib designs offered in the database?

I got this from Wolvie's thread in the Sandbox:
The Great Archives determine you to have gone by the identity:
Josette Papillon
Known in some parts of the world as:
Hero of Wraiths
The Great Archives Record:
A needy and violent spirit
Well, I actually can go along with the name, as my first name is indeed French. (Josette 'Butterfly')? I don't see myself as needy and violent though...okay, I could be kinda' violent.
COMMENTS
I am Baroness of the Great Oceans.
seeing as how I live inland....hilarious LMAO!
I'm sorrounded by water...and I can't swim! LOL!
Nice
Violent you say ^^
I love water...then again I am a water sign..
I will have to take a peak at this...
what was the site.?
Not too long ago, I received a surprise call from a former friend - let's call her Margie. We use to be somewhat close around twenty years ago, but drifted apart as she became more materialistic and holier-than-thou. Margie got wind from my sister Ray that I was currently unemployed. Our conversation - and my thoughts - went something like this:
Me: Hello?
Margie: Hello? Is this Monique?
Me: Yes. Who is this?
Margie: It's Margie, hon. How are you?
Me: (Oh God). Hi, Margie. I'm okay. How are you?
Margie: I'm doing well, thanks to God's grace. Soraya tells me that you are out of work?
Me: (I'm going to strangle you, Ray). Yes...
Margie: Are you still with that guy? What is his name? Pedro...Peter...Pappy...
Me: Pepe...no, we broke up a few years ago. (Bitch, you know all of this already).
Margie: Oh - hmmm. You two didn't match anyway. He had no education - and no money. That just wouldn't do. I would never be caught with a dumb, broke man.
Me: (What the fuck)? Yeah - I know. (Grrrr).
Margie: You should come to church with me one day - there are some available, well-salaried, God-fearing Christian men there, girl!
Me: (Oh no you didn't. I heard that you and your husband were having some problems, so mind your own damned business, please). Ummm...nah. Not for me. Thanks anyway.
Margie: Well, think about it hon. The reason I called was about a job opportunity anyway.
Me: (???) Oh really? What is it?
Margie: I need a personal assistant. It would be preferable if you could be a live-in. I have an older BMW that you could use to run the few errands I'd need done.
Me: (What the fuck)? Ummm...
Margie: I know that this is sudden, but think about it. We would be doing each other a favor. You need a job, and I need an assistant. I can pay you $12.00 an hour, 9 to 6, Monday through Saturday.
Me: (You condescending bitch; I so want to punch you in one of your chins right now) Thanks, Margie, but I'll be fine. I should be in a job training program soon. I really don't want to move so far south past the Peninsula, plus I have cats.
Margie: Ooooh...I don't like animals in the house.
Me: Well, my cats are my kids. (And you are an annoying cow).
Margie: Okay. I forgot that you don't drive. I'd need someone to run errands.
Me: (Yes - remind me on how lame I am. You fucking bitch). Hey - well thank you for the offer anyway. You take care. (Get off of the phone now)
Margie: Oh - okay. Remember, you are still welcome to attend church with me. I'll pick you up - no problem.
Me: Thanks - I will give it some thought. (Go to Hell).
Margie: Okay - well, bye Monique. God bless you!
Me: Bye, Margie! (You superior bitch).
COMMENTS
WOW.
yeah gotta hate it when you have cowens trying to convert you when you got other problems to deal with,
Ohhh my, I think it's pretty clear why you two drifted apart lol...good luck finding a job hon.
Wow well written! Would you not melt if you went to church? lol
Though if I could find a very rich woman in church I think I would force myself to go....of course she would want me and my huge ego ^^
Theban - LOL!
No - I won't melt if I enter a church...or a mosque...or a synagogue. My problem is with the superior bitch.
So - I'm in the WIA program now...if I can find a job ASAP, my ass will be saved. While the WIA will cover education/training for 1 year, with a tuition cap of $5,000, it doesn't have any stipends for living expenses. I don't have any medical or psychological problems that would keep me from working, and I'm not pushing a baby stroller full of kids, so no public assistance for me...not that I'd want it...I'd rather have a job. On the other hand, pride won't feed me, so those food stamps and food pantries are looking pretty good...
Anyway, I have a good feeling about finding a job now. Since attending a few workshops, I'm more focused. Totally re-tooled my resume (I had no idea that it was so sucky). Networking and making some connections will help as well!
It was kinda' cool when one of the counselors stated that out of our lil' class of 15, I scored the highest in both sections of the proficiency exam. I wasn't too surprised about the English/grammar part - the math section is what surprised me. I suck in math. I'm surprised that I remembered fractions, long division, and basic algebra. I was never good in math, so I'm thinking that the rest of the class struggled even more.
Well - I hope that things work out. I worry about being homeless so much that I rarely sleep - which is definetely not healthy.

OMG! I just heard on CNN this morning that unemployment extensions will be done for those states which have over 10% (?) unemployment...California - where I live - has an unemployment rate of 12.2%.
I just checked the EDD website here, and they are getting funding...Yipeee! It appears that I may be granted a 4th extension...so, I may be able to stay in the WIA program and concentrate on it after all!
I will try to remain somewhat calm until I know for sure.
Right now, I keep getting knocked off of the net when I log onto VR...it isn't happening at the other sites I frequent...???
Ah - just as well. I need to fine tune my resume, and get some sleep soon. I've been going through the motions and getting stuff done for the last two weeks, since I was accepted into the WIA program. It's still scary though - I've exhausted all of my unemployment benefits now (while continually looking for a job and waiting to get into the WIA, of course).
If a miracle doesn't happen in another month - ie a job - I'm totally screwed.

Theban - I have a lot of bookcases. I just prefer to have my art books in stacks...plus, many of them are over-sized.
