The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I know...I'm rarely here. But you understand that there is so much to do in real life.
After having two (unpaid) weeks off as a permanent 10 month employee, I'm back to work next week. I've been spending my time doing a lot of reading and writing. I'm pretty much a hermit, and I like it.


Things have happened though, that I may have neglected to write about earlier. My brain sometimes goes into overload...

* My co-worker Mai died @ Christmas-time after a long illness; we found out in late March of this year...!? (Recall that another cashier died two years earlier)
* Another friend is battling re-occurring cancer.
* We have a new cashier - a guy - and he is great. Works hard - unlike Cee - and is fun to be around.
* Besides writing my own shit, I've also beta-read for a few other writers, and two of them have beta-read for me. Will be putting out two books of a three-book saga within a month or so. I'm kinda' nervous, of course.
* My mom...the dementia is growing, but she still recognizes me over the phone, and is always glad to hear from me. Of course, I miss her, and wish that she was back here, in the Bay Area. That is the plan, but I'm not sure what my sis is really doing about it. We got into a huge fight about two weeks ago, as I feel that she's taking advantage of my mom and her money. What's left of it, anyway...But, as she is the one taking care of our mom, I should back down. A little.
* A 23-year old guy on another site has a lil' crush on my old ass. I'm old enough to be his mother. Hopefully, he will wake the fuck up. I do like chattin' with the kid though. He's more intelligent than many men around my own age. In any case - I'm not that much of a cougar, and I ain't lookin' for anybody. lol
