The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Living each day knowing that you are different. Knowing that every person who learns your deep and dark secret. That is what each day is like for me. My name is Joshua and I have no last name. I live by myself with two cats i love to call my brothers. Our home is an abandoned house in the middle just outside of Krigston.

The town is nothing more than a bunch of bullies and rich pricks. Anyone who was anyone would live there. But there is one flaw. The fact that no one knows the real truth outside of society.

I am not talking about government consperacies or magic. Well it is somewhat like that. I'm talking about Demons. Although history has passed us off as myths. And yes i did say 'us'. The truth is I'm a half breed. Mostly demon blood from my mothers side. But I will explain that alittle more later on.

Back to the main story.....my brothers and I have to survive from garbage and the harbor not to far. That is where the fancy Butlers and Maids go to buy the fish for special dinners. But now this is where my story starts.

One day I quietly walked up to the harbor pretending to mind my own busness. Then when I thought the fisherman wasn't looking I quickly grabbed the biggest fish I saw and I ran. So you can guess at this point he was running after me.

"COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE THIEF," he said while chasing me.

I did not stop and soon I tripped and my hood fell, and to a suprise I had cat ears. Everyone knew and they thought it was just a mutation but i know full whell that it wasn't. Anyways in an ally way a homless girl saw my ears and she gasped. So she ran and picked up the fish and ran distracting the fisherman.

So I took the opertunity and ran to the closest ally. I sat down against a wall and sighed with my stomach growling. "That was my fish...." I said pulling my hood back up. Since I thought I lost my dinner to a homeless girl i stood up and started to walk, and as i was rounding a corner I bumped into the girl. She held out the fish and keeped her face hidden by her hat.

"Thank you," I said accepting the fish.

SHe mearly nodded and started to walk off when I said, "Wait, let me repay you. You did after all bring back my fish." She stopped and turned around and just as she was lifting her head I noticed that she had cat like eyes. They were both a very beautiful shade of blue and yet had a very dark secret about them.

"How about you come back with me and have dinner with me and my brothers?" I asked. She smiled alittle and then I turned around and led her out of the harbor. We walked for a few miles until we came to an abandoned road. She cringed alittle and I smile.

"Don't worry it's not as bad as it looks," I told her.

She looked at me and nodded again. So we started to walk down the road. I kept looking at her form time to time to make sure she was ok. Two questions were running through my mind. Why was she so afraid of this road, and why did she help me when she saw my ears?

I decided to ignore them and kept on walking. It was actually really peaceful. The sound of the birds in the trees and the rush of water at a near by creek. For an abandoned road it was really peaceful. I always loved walking down this road.

Pritty soon we came to an old building. I looked at the girl to see if she was afraid. She was actually very calm. So we walked inside and I smiled to her. "Welcome to our home. I'm sorry that it is currently a mess but we plan to clean and fix up the place soon," I said while rubbing the back of my neck.

She started to look around. As if she was making sure that the area was safe and secure. She is a strange one but I think she will be nice to have around.

But just as soon as I was about to speak again I feel to the floor and there was two small cats sitting on me. The darker one with a white dimon on his chest was Link and the smaller one with one white paw was Nicky. They both meowed and looked up at the girl. She looked alittle suprised and then kneeled and helped me up. My brothers both jumped off and just stared at her.

I smiled and said, "sorry these two are my brothers. That one is Link and the other is Nicky." She then kneeled again and held out her hand. They both approached with caution and smelled her hand. Nicky was alittle wiery at first but then he rubbed against her hand. Link on the other hand was still cautious. He jumped up onto the makeshift shelf then onto my shoulder. He only sits on me whenever he feels uncomfortable.

I scratched his chin and said, "Sorry about him. He rarely trusts anyone since I rescued him. I found him about a year ago bearly alive and beaten. Turns out when he had a family they always mistreat him. After I heard about this happening to a fellow Feline I had to do something." I inhailed and spoke again. "I snuck into their garage that they kept him in. He was lying in a blanket covered in what I could guess was covered in oil. So I grabed him and ran. He didn't trust me at first but after i shown him some love and care, then my ears, he started to warm up to me. Now he just loves being around me."

He started to purr and lean against the side of my head. I smile and the girl looked down at Nicky. "What about him," she said. At first I was alittle suprised that she spoke. But then I gathered myself and cleared my throat and said, "One night about three months ago Link brought a kitten home. I didnt know what to do but I took care of him. I don't know much but I know how to take care of others in need."

He stood back up and looked at me and nodded. It may not have been a smile but it was the best emotion she sent me.

I know I said this before but this girl is just so misterious. I may not know alot about humans but I know that the scent the give off was definitly different. She looked human but she smelled of a Demon. I couldn't put my finger on it but I will figure it out someday. I will get this girl to open up to me. I don't care how long it will take but I will find a way. I will learn the secret of this mysterious girl.
