So, we finally got our copy of the Accepted Offer on the house. (YAY) They gave us a list of dates and deadlines, and I think we are already doing alright on them.
•Closing Date 01/27/2022
•Earnest Money Deadline 12/26/2021 (If they are open tomorrow, I will be going to take our money there before they close, just to get it out of the way. I think my Realtor said he was going to send me a link to pay online, so I will have to call him in the morning.)
•Loan Commitment Deadline 01/20/2022
•Title Deadline 01/17/2022
•Inspection Deadline 01/02/2022 (We are actually getting our inspections done on Tuesday the 28th of December at 830am.)
•Homeowner's Insurance Deadline 01/02/1022 (I am going to see if my current car insurance will give me a discount for bundling, which I am sure they will, just don't want to over pay. The realtor said he has someone in Insurance too that I could get ahold of. Hmm.)
To be continued!!
So, a lot of updates and things going on in my life.
We got approved on Monday, Dec 20th for a loan of up to $150k to buy a house. We've been working on this for a long time. My husband went out of town to work so that he could save up out down payment. It's been rough on me with him being out of town, but I know he did it so that we could move forward with our lives together. We have been actively looking at houses for a while, so we sent a house to the realtor that our mortgage guy sent us to. My son and I went to look at it yesterday. Realtor said that it was really good looking and it was one of the better options for this area that were in our price range. I talked to my husband and told him what I thought and we put an offer in late last night(Dec 21st). We got a text today that the seller accepted our offer!! I couldn't be more excited. We are doing the building inspection and septic inspection on Tuesday. Then we have to get it appraised. We are just following the realtor check list. I hope everything goes to plan.
I will update more when I'm not at work, but wanted to tell SOMEONE the good news. Hah-hah.
Work is going okay I guess. I've been having some issues with the individual I am working with. She tries to control every aspect of the Staff members. I have a 12 year old who stays home on his own while I am at work because his father works out of town at the moment. My mother in law lives in the same apartment building, so it's not like he's completely alone, but still. She tries to control what the volume and ringtone on my phone are. First off, this organization does not pay my phone bill, or any of my bills for them to tell me what I can have for volume OR a ringtone, and neither does she. She is so used to being spoiled and getting her way that she just whines and cries and throws a tantrum until they're tired of dealing with her and give in. Well, I am in trouble because I won't give in. She also wants to dictate to what Staff can and can't say in their notes about the shift. We are told to be as descriptive as possible so that they get an accurate log of her activities. When she has her tantrums, though, she wants us to not put that in there. Her and I have argued over it before. She has turned the cameras off, she had turned the Wi-Fi in her house off and has taken the work laptop into her room and hidden it. Then got mad because I did my notes on my cell phone, which she can pry from my dead, cold hands. Ugh. Getting myself worked up.
I am so tired but I have another two and a half hours. Guess I am going to go play Fortnite on my Switch since she is asleep. Yay.
