Did I have a good day, today? I can only say that I had an average day. If your days, usually are not that great, then an average day would be like the rest. What you define as "miserable" is relative to your own experience. A day where you are not miserable may be considered a good day. This is signature for our understanding of an "average day." A good day is the beginning of a great day, or even a great week. We do not have to be optimists to be encouraged by the gifts we at times see as futile. This can be as simple as favorable weather. It can be a friend you can vent to, or a close co-worker who will help you get through "another work day"...
Here is my desire for a good day....A day where life is not on the edge. A day where your work is likable, and you are not concerned about being fired, or even looking forward to it. This doesn't necessarily lead to a "new beginning" or a "fresh start," as often advertised. You have to make your peace for a healthy transition, or the "bad day" you have will continue being a "normal day."
A Good Day is always the first day. How many days can you have in succession which leads to a good life, or your perception of one? If we take one day at a time, tomorrow, or today, is the "good day" we desire for. A day of certainty...a day where it feels okay to exist, and encouragement that events will be positive again when the earth cycles to the sun's light, again...
