The following is my personal opinion on the next Star Trek movie. Rumors have floated on Khan being the second movie. I'm wondering if they are going the Space Seed route or if they are going to some how incorporate both the episode and movie. Pretty much the number 1 villain of all Trek Is Khan in my opinion. So they may be going the correct route. However, I feel that it would be similar to the episode and wouldn't branch out much. The director has stated that they aren't going to be remaking the episode or movie but it may or may not involve Khan. They really are trying to avoid repeating what already is in the Star Trek universe.
The first movie was fantastic it had a different feel a different essence. It was unique in it's own right. I feel if they are going to involve Khan I'm not sure they should go the villain route. Maybe go on Kirks rival in star fleet after being found in space. I think that would be a unique twist. Perhaps even going the route of Khan the Klingon? Which would be another unique twist. Done right this second movie could be a huge success done poorly the franchise will more than likely fade out for a while before they try another reboot as they call it in the movie business.
I really think that Khan should be involved in the movie as to follow suite with the original movies. But only to that point. It should then go it's own route, and destination. I do not want to see the Enterprise blown up or decimated again. I feel that should be reserved for the fourth film. Some of you may agree with me and others of you may say what the hell is he on. Again this is just my own opinion and it has no barring on what they do for the second movie.
I'll more then likely post another note if they go a different route other than Khan and go into what they could do. Shatner is really trying to be involved with this Trek. I love him as Kirk but It's time for you to let him go, because it's time for someone else to shine. Yes I would love him to return as Kirk but I don't see how it would fit in the timeline unless it's just a cameo or some time intervention that had to be done.
See the original, rent it, or buy it. But please see the original it's well worth it in my opinion more later on this.
Clash of the Titans is an upcoming 2010 fantasy film which is a remake of the 1981 film of the same name, itself loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus. Directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Sam Worthington, the film is set for release on March 26, 2010

Just when things were looking up my breaks on my car go out. Luckly I had the rear breaks working. I had to get them replaced or i would have had to refit the car for a major $$$
they wanted 1000+ for everything my car actully needed.
I took the breaks and talked them down to 260.
which i had to borrow from my friends here.
spent 3 hours waiting for the breaks to be fixed
the metal that held the pads was severely frozen and rusted from who knows how long.
This really fucking sucks. I'm so upset been crying off and on.
I don't feel well at all.

I havent gotten a chance to see the new movie. So i cant really base an opinion on it. But it looked pretty good. Although im hoping they dont repeat the same villains. I mean seeing is how I agree with the fact that its an Alternate Timeline. It should have their own villains instead using the original ones....But that's my opinion ^^
Fact of the way that I viewed trek
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home was the very first Star Trek movie that I ever saw. Even though there were scenes IE The Enterprise blowing up. From Star Trek III: The Search for Spock in it. Which looked totally awesome and saddening at the same time.
I then had to play catch up
So I got Beta (when the Beta and VHS war was going on. What is beta? You may ask.
Betamax (sometimes called Beta) is a home videocassette tape recording format developed by Sony, released on May 10, 1975. The cassettes contain 1/2-inch (12.7mm)-wide videotape in a design similar to the earlier, professional 3/4-inch (19.05mm) U-matic format.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture Extended Version Which Played Ilea's and Decker's theme and star field was a few seconds longer amongst a few other things
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Even I agree this was the best Star Trek film made to date)
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
and finally Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home again this time on VHS.
Then I saw the following in the theater before purchasing them on vhs and making my collection of vhs complete bought the original four.
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
Star Trek: Generations
Quiecendently Generations was the last movie I purchased on VHS. Before convertering to DVDs
Then in the theatre and DVD's this time.
Star Trek: First Contact
Star Trek: Insurrection
I've never seen Star Trek: Nemesis in the theater only on DVD.
I have seen the series of all the star trek's including the animated series and Enterprise which I've only watched once so there's not much I can tell you about that.
I've also seen the revamp of Star Trek
Which I've dubbed
Star Trek:(TAT) The alternate Time-Line
I'm hoping other trekies or trekers will follow suit. But only in a very bad quality on my computer. That's all I'll say about that.
Other then the fact I do intend on owning Star Trek: (TAT).

Very informative ^^
I grew up loving the star trek Movie the vouage home. Loved the whales.
"Hello computer.."
Nice rundown of the movies. LOL, I still have some Beta tapes lying around.
As far as the series goes, I'll list them in the order of my preference:
1) The Next Generation (TNG) - 2nd series (my favorite)
2) The Original Series (TOS) - 1st series
3) Deep Space Nine (DS9) - 3rd series
4) Enterprise - 5th series
5) Voyager - 4th series
There was talk of the 5th series being called "Excelsior" which was Sulu's starship (and following the voyages of that crew), but it never came to be (despite strong fan support) and Enterprise was created...a prequel to them all.
I'm sure you all of this above. So, here is a trivia question for you...
What was the name of Captain Kirk's brother?
I couldn't sleep it's about 430 in the morning. So I've been working on my homework and realized that I needed to find out once and for all if they were changing "Cookie Monster" to Veggie Monster.
According to PBS they are not changing Cookie's name. They only changed the variety of foods he eat's to present a healthy monster instead of a cookie compulsive monster.

I was going to say First they take my planet away now this ... I was going to write a nasty letter to pbs.
Which leads me to my original post i was going to write.
Fact: Pluto was a Planet (in my heart it always will be)
How do I explain that I want to keep Pluto as a planet when my children are going learn that it's not a planet?
Fact: Sea Stars were originally called Star Fish
To eliminate confusion they changed the names
Again same question I'm going to say star fish my kids will correct me and say it's sea stars?

Its not that, they will learn that Pluto WAS a planet, its a part of science history, I'm sure that will be put into the textbooks along with important information about the idea.
THEY ARE STILL STAR FISH TO ME!!!!...lol
Remember after 9/11 how french frys became Freedom Frys, and other such sillyness.
2010, and already a craptastic start to a wintertastic freeztastic day.
So I went to start my car this morning had to run my temporary roommates to the doctors and guess what my car didn't turn over. Kept trying nothing not even clicks. Luckly a tow truck was near by and gave me a jump. Found out that my battery was from 2005 almost a 5 year old battery. I'm shocked I even got anywhere with that thing. So I drove it to Wal-Mart, and find out that my oil stick came up empty. I was also driving on no more oil. WTF....
I pulled into Wal-Mart, and it was 12 o'clock. They told me the new battery and oil change would be done in 30-45 mins, so walked around for 45 mins went back they told me they were just pulling it in now.... I was like what the hell. You told me 45 mins. So I thought well I have time so they told me 35 mins and they'd call me on the intercom when it was done.
I wait for 35 mins... They call me back so I think my cars done right? Well it wasn't .... The same guy told me my oil came up dry. Which is how I found out that I had no oil. So I sign that and he tells me there just pulling it in now..
That's when I went to the manager of the Wal-mart. Told him the story of what happened got a free oil change out of it. Thank god/goddess. I'm really impressed with my car actually making it a total of 800 miles to and from Wisconsin and a few erons and it drove on and on with out so much as a fail. Something was looking out for me and I'm glad for that.

Looks like you stumbled across the craptastic fairy that visited me last week.
I love that fairy so much, I want to kill it. :D
Sounds like you had a fun filled day at wallyworld...=P
Be glad your car made it without oil and a 5 year old battery...
eh, I say you came out pretty good.

The death of Tennant as the 10/11th doctor who knows they keep claiming the 10th but he did regenerate back into the same doctor.

I missed part one
I didn't like they made him all cocky and over bearing there at the end.
Tennant is the best Doctor ever. The new one looks really creepy.
I cried, both episodes. It was awesome. I'm gonna miss Tennant.
