I have worked with another nurse for about 10 years. Ok being a nuese and working with other nurses is not astounding, but she's what some might call a rival. She's been in the hospital almost twice as long as I have, but not very well liked, arrogant and considered lazy. She is actually in charge of our department, the power has gone to her head to say the least. As a critical care RN I have the ability to function in many areas of the hospital and do so quite often. Well she's wanted to further her career for many years but was never accecpted to the graduate program. I applied two years and to my surprise was admitted to start this year. Yahoo, I was moving on and getting away from this person, furthering my career. Oh ahppy day! Well my competetor felt that surely If I the substandard nurse ( in her estimation) could get in, she should try again. Well you probably have guessed it, third time's the charm, she was accepted. Not only is she going to grad school, but she'll be going with me! Boy are the tongues wagging at work!
