Just a weird weekend update....:)
It was a rough weekend for us...on Saturday we were getting ready to go to Lex and couldn't find one of our kitties at food time. These are inside cats, so needless to say we searched the house over....several times...then the attic as a ceiling fan in the bathroom needs fixed and has a whole into the attic. No kitty. We then searched the basement and found that the downstairs toilet had backed up and overflowed, but was currently dry...with some boxes that needed checked. Next was the garage and outside. Still no cat. We decided that he had gone into another dimension in this house since cats are mythologically able to walk between worlds. ANYWAY, we went to get something to eat, while looking along the road to see if we could find him. We ate, came home, opened the door and there her strolls down the hallway, yawning. We never did find that darn cat.
THEN on Sunday the OTHER cat is sick several times in different places in the house AND we discover that the overflow downstairs is continuing, even worse actually. Luckily it was contained to two rooms and nothing major was ruined but it was pretty nasty. I cleaned the items and emptied the ruined boxes while hubby was great about getting one of the leaks stopped and getting the septic company in quickly...on Monday to get it fixed. I abandoned ship Sunday night and went to stay with family.
Not the relaxing weekend we had imagined but all is well that ends well because the kitties are ok, no real damage done, no major costs to fix, and we are healthy. Guess it was a good weekend after all.

We were supposed to go to Lexi today. But Biscuit decided to disappear. We searched for two hours......outside, inside, and even in the attic as hubby replaced the fan in the bathroom. No cat.
We finally thought if we left for a while he would come out...we did.....and he did. Dang cat. Just strolled out as if nothing was going on and he hadn't ignored us for almost two hours calling his name.
In the course of looking for the kitty...we did find that the downstairs toilet had apparently backed up with sewage and overflowed ...even under some boxes of fragile/collectibles. GRRRR.
No trip to Lexi.....just a trip to the basement with cleaning supplies and gloves...maybe a mask..certainly a nice smelling candle. Gah.

I still don't know where Spazz disappears to, when I can't find her. And I'm in an apartment...
