It took forever for me to get my proof copy, but it looks beautiful.
The 2006 ACE Interfaith Calendar is finally available.
This wall calendar is full of international interfaith holidays and festivals for 2006.
Though it is represented by the publisher as an 8.5"x11" coil-bound book, this is meant to be hung on a wall as landscape pages, becoming a full 11"x17" calendar. See the Preview for a look at the month of January. (The preview size is greatly reduced to make it small enough for preview.)
This is a full color calendar, and the PDF file is presented to you as a FREE download to print if you like. The printed and bound version that Lulu.com will print is high-quality and sells there at the base price. Neither version of this calendar sells for a profit.
Another version may soon sell with all profits being donated to a charity. If you feel compelled however to make a donation because of your appreciation of this project, please consider making that donation directly to the Red Cross or any Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.
ACE is the Aquarius Church of Enlightenment, my personal website dedicated to furthering the cause of religious tolerance.
This is an annual project of mine to produce a beautiful, useful calendar that presents many different holidays and festivals from many different religions. I hope you enjoy it.
MINNEAPOLIS (Reuters) - Minnesota voters, who eight years ago elected a former professional wrestler as their governor, may find a self-proclaimed vampire on the ballot for the office this year.
"Politics is a cut-throat business," said Jonathan "The Impaler" Sharkey, who said he plans to announce his bid for governor Friday on the ticket of the Vampyres, Witches and Pagans Party.
... Sharkey also pledged to execute convicted murders and child molesters personally by impaling them on a wooden pole outside the state capitol. Full Story

Current versions of Windows, including Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, depending on configuration, may prompt users to download or install this update automatically for those computers currently connected to the Internet. This is the preferred method of protecting your computer from this vulnerability.
Other users are advised to visit Microsoft Windows Update to obtain this security patch.
Microsoft STILL has no immediate plans to release a patch for Windows 98, 98SE, or ME. Steve Gibson of grc.com says that he will work to produce one if Microsoft does not.
Ilfak Guilfanov's temporary patch is no longer needed and can be uninstalled IF you get the patch from update.microsoft.com.
This patch fixes vulnerabilities in Windows that could allow a WMF file, which looks and acts like an image, to actually run commands that could compromise the security of your computer. Virus exploits have already been found and can cause serious trouble for your computer. I urge everyone to get the patch ASAP.

Ilfak Guilfanov, well known in "reverse engineering" circles for his wildly popular IDA Disassembler, needed a temporary patch for his own system due to the seriousness of the WMF vulnerability (see RED box below) . . . so he wrote one!
