I know I'm truly young in age
Yet don't seem too surprised
You'll find that you can add three times
To what stands before your eyes
Been through hell and turmoil
My face just won't show signs
Of what you'd see if you could just
Take a look inside my mind
Seen the hunger, felt the pain
Of near and far off lands
And watched life wash away too quick
Like footprints in the sand
My body might age gracefully
But with a little time
It may one day catch up to
This ever changing mind
No need for you to wonder now
What thoughts do lay behind
A door for you I've opened
To look inside my mind.
