I don't know how. I made it home, but I did. I come out of work after a late shift. And somehow knew my rear passenger tire was flat. I wasn't surprised. I heard a noise on the way. And stopped in the dirt And tapped the tires with my wooden AZ Diamondacks clubber. And it seemed fine, but noooooo. So I didn't get on the freeway and took the route. That I knew to go. Just me and machine in the black of night. Enjoying the solitude of traveling in the middle of nowhere.
I stopped along the way at a free air pump, and. A truck was already there. I figured it's just me and this guy out in the middle of nowhere. So he stared at me. While I just pumped my tire up with my a bicycle pump. Instead of wasting time waiting. That thing comes in handy in a emergency. It just tells me I'm going to have to invest in more car stuff now. Like a scissor jack I can keep in the trunk that doesn't weigh 40 pounds. Like my old steel jack I found randomly.
I just called into to work, at a place that I do not work.
I called up the local Kroger and said I'm not going to be able to make it in. This evening to run the U-scan machine. I gave my name and said I'm going to go shop at the Safeway instead tonight. The woman repeated the fake name. And said "I'm so confused". Bahahahahaha!

It sounds like you have a midnight adventure, glad you made it home safe. Intuition always gets me out of some tough jams.

You're more man than me pumping up a car tire with a bicycle pump.
