So today I took "Big Bertha'' aka my 120 watt guitar amplifier, to a amplifier repair shop today. There was a friendly guitar tech with a southern accent working in the front and, he quickly directed me to a back room. I walked in, and see rows and rows of amplifiers, cabinets and amplifier heads. I explained the issues, to the amplifier technician. So he went and plugged it in, Stuck a guitar jack in the input then jiggled around the jack in the input a bit and he immediately had an idea. Of the underlying issues. The thing is just old. He offered me a quote for his services and then, recommended, I remove the circuit board. Then bring it back. And he would fix it. For less and not charge a bench fee. If I could do all that myself. Honestly I think doing all that disassembly, is beyond me. But I do like a challenge. I'm debating taking it all apart now ,but it just seems pointless. When I could buy a new one. For the cost of the repairs. And then with my living situation, that won't allow me to actually enjoy a loud guitar amplifier. With a dumb old Cunt named Karen. Living next door. I may just attempt to dissemble, the circuit board. But I may have to call the guy, to figure out how to label all the components. So I'm able to put it back together. It's inevitable that I will have the buy a new one. But I like the way old things sound. It only works how it should, half the time. Yet I find a sense of satisfaction being able take it all apart or even fix the thing myself.

Probably a cracked solder joint. Happens a lot especially close to where the Jack plugs in that’s why it’s intermittent. It’s an easy fix if that is what the problem is.
