This song is currently on endless repeat for me. It's the closing credits song for DA2. So perfect for how the game ended. I shouldn't listen to it, it makes me cry every time, but it's like prodding a sore tooth with your tongue. I can't help it.
I get too involved in my video games.
*sits here and cries*

My Lady... I am here as well...
Thank you guys :)
New computer is all set up. Everyone, say hi to Abraxas. He's a bit of a monster.
The case is a Corsair Obsidian 800D Black Full Tower Case with Window. It's about thigh height on me. And almost too heavy for me to lift. A bit of a change from my lovely light old Lanboy on Bathsheba!
We're running Windows 7. I was resistant to it for a while, but surprisingly, I am really liking it. It's way better than Vista (which is on my laptop, Ruby Ann) and a HUGE leap from XP which is what was on Zebedee. Different, but good.
I have a Logitech G15 gaming keyboard and I heart it so incredibly much! It has its own LCD screen! And USB ports! And you can set up profiles for the different games you play!!! *nerdgasm*
I've also got a new set of Altec Lansing speakers which are awesome. Full bass, baby! My desk vibrates with it! EEEEEEE!!
At some point I'll dig out the drivers for my phone and camera so I can upload some photos of my new baby...
For now, I'll just say that playing The Witcher today, I was getting up to 500 fps. 500. And not on the painting cut scenes either (that was in quadruple digits). Average of about 250 normally, it lagged down to 150 in the Old Vizima fight.
Yeah baby. That's what I'm talking about.
Nerd stats.

And he's so quiet! He sits by my leg and I don't hear him running at all. I FEEL him, but I don't hear him. It's amazing!!!!
Still in the process of getting games all set up on him. Teething difficulties, and whatnot.
Otherwise, I am in love with my new computer. *nods*
So I'm laptopping at the moment while my new uber PC is being built, and my laptop doesn't have Office, so I'm using Google Docs to write new chapters for my Witcher fic.
In a moment of I don't know what, I decided to translate chapter 7 into Polish to see what it looked like. And then I translated it back again.
Hilarity ensued.
Also some fairly poignant moments.
Here, see for yourself:
My drunk lasted til midday. As the sun reached its zenith the effervescence popped as suddenly as a soap bubble, leaving me with a foul headache and an even fouler temper. My mouth felt as though a small, horridly furry animal with distinctly unclean habits had crawled in there and died. Several weeks ago. With all its friends and relatives. | My drunk lasted until noon. As the sun reached its apogee boiling fell as suddenly as bubble, leaving me with a foul headache and even fouler temper. My mouth I felt like a small furry animal horridly dirty habits, clearly had crawled in there and died. A few weeks ago. With all his friends and relatives. |
We passed more caravans over the succeeding days, each as frantic as before. The frown on Geralt’s face deepened with each one. | We passed more caravans on the next day, as everyone crazy as ever. Geralt frown on his face deepened with each. |
I ordered chicken and bread and some pears, and some milk to wash it all down with. I had no desire for alcohol, not after that potion. She nodded and took my coins. I took a seat at the end of a table, looking around me while I waited for my food. When it arrived I tore into it hungrily, washing bites of chicken and bread down with great gulps of milk. The pears I cradled and bit into reverently. Their sweet juice ran down my chin, and I wiped it up with a finger, not wanting to waste any. | I ordered the chicken and bread and pears, and some milk to wash it all I had to drink z. alcohol, not including beverage. She nodded and took the coins. I sat down at the end of the table, looking while I was waiting for food. When he came up to him and tore greedily, washing machine cuts chicken, bread down with great gulps of milk. Pears and cuddles and a bit of respect. I let the tears flow silently down my face and into the pillow while he lay behind me stroking my hair, my hands bunching into fists underneath me. Neither of us said a word while I wept for what couldn’t be. Eventually my tears dried and I lay sodden and exhausted, staring through the darkness at the wall. | I let the tears flow silently down my face and the pillow, while he lies behind me, stroking my hair, my hands into fists bunching under me. Neither of us said a word, and I cried, which can not be. Finally, my tears dried, and the laity, and exhausted land, looking through the darkness on the wall. |
“Oh.” I closed my eyes and tried very hard to imagine a small Geralt, a little boy Geralt without white hair and golden slit-pupilled eyes, a boy without his grace and capabilities, a boy who stumbled and went to his knees as he learnt to be a witcher. I failed utterly; even as the concept made me smile with tenderness. | "O". I closed my eyes and tried to imagine the small Geralt, Geralt a little boy with no white hair and golden eyes-pupilled slot, a boy without his grace and possibility, the boy who stumbled and went to his knees as he learned to play The Witcher. I failed completely, even as a concept makes me smile tenderly. |

Well, I'm not a Twilight fan, but I shan't mock. We feel how we feel, and if something affects us, that's perfectly valid. *nods*
