An update on my DA:O progress - all was going well, Alistair fell in love with me (er, my character, lol) and things happened (yes, really). Then we were like the perfect couple running around killing shit and being all cute and lovey dovey in between times. Daw. Unfortunatley however all good things must come to an end. Today I arranged the political marriage of Alistair to the widow of the last king. I swear to god I cried as I did it.

Sigh. The perfect video game romance and I can't even maintain that...

Well, I recently bought Dragon Age: Origins (it was on special lol) and I'm sorry to say I won't be on much for a while as it has completely sucked me in and I am spending as much time as possible wooing Alistair and killing abominations and demons. Woo! Anyhoo, just thought I'd let you know :D

I bought myself a new knife block set today, as the start of my home beautification project (as in, I want new stuff since all the stuff I have now I got when I first moved out of home at age 18).

So I am happily unpacking my new knives when one of them slips and I look down and am merrily bleeding away, fortunately into the sink. After cleaning up I discover that I have taken a lovely neat patch of skin about 1mm deep from my right index finger, and cut a deep semi-circular flap of skin off the knuckle of my right middle finger. Very owie.

Anyways after raiding my band aid stocks the fingers are all good. However I've realised how hard it is to operate with my main hand half out of action.

Also, hooray for a good knife set!!!

Speaking of home beautification, I'm on all board for that. I'm wanting to redeocrate so bad I'm frothing at the mouth. lol I put new bedclothes on my bed and new curtains on my windows last night. I slept like a baby. That's how happy it made me. Now I'm wondering what else I can do. Might go shopping after work today. :)

So I'm a bit offended and pissed off. The ex flatmate sent me an SMS yesterday to say that he had transferred the electricity at my old place into his name "to save himself the cost of paying the connection fee". Um, hello. This is the real world. You wanted to live there, you have to pay a connection fee for new electricity. That's how it works. Besides you've already gotten deals on everything else - you don't have to buy your own furniture because someone else is giving it to you, you're getting a new flatmate next week to save even more money, and I worked out a super deal for you with my old real estate so you don't get kicked out on your arse. And apart from that, I took my electricity with me when I moved. There was no "transfer". You should have a brand new account. At the time I was worried that that would mean that MY electricity which I moved to my new place would be cut off, but it hasn't been (obviously). Plus, I have just paid some off it as well. Did that transfer to him or did it stay with me? GRRRRR.

So yeah, pissed off.

I'm all for saving some money, but really. Be a big boy and do some stuff from scratch.

So today is my 3 year VR-versary. *puts on a party hat*

Move has gone well, next time I will definitely be taking time off though as moving one day and then doing a week of night shifts the next is definitely not good. Not good at all. However all is in and going ok. Some minor hiccups with the ex-flatmate who turned into a bit of a wanker right at the end there but eh. I can no longer be fucked.

Oh and the weather lately? Chilly as! It was like 0 degrees as I walked to work the other night. 0! In Queensland!!! It's like the end of the world!!!!!
