Ok so after a long while of scouring images I found what I'm going to use for tattoos.
First one, on my dominant wrist.
Perfect Chaos:
Next one, on back of neck.
Knot of Creation:
Whee!
This may come as a bit of a surprise to some of you, but I am a fairly patriotic person.
25th April is ANZAC day. ANZAC day is a day of remembrance for Australians and New Zealanders.
From here:
It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as ANZACs, and the pride they soon took in that name endures to this day.
When war broke out in 1914 Australia had been a federal commonwealth for only 14 years. The new national government was eager to establish its reputation among the nations of the world. In 1915 Australian and New Zealand soldiers formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula to open the way to the Black Sea for the allied navies. The plan was to capture Constantinople (now Istanbul), the capital of the Ottoman Empire and an ally of Germany. They landed at Gallipoli on 25 April, meeting fierce resistance from the Turkish defenders. What had been planned as a bold stroke to knock Turkey out of the war quickly became a stalemate, and the campaign dragged on for eight months. At the end of 1915 the allied forces were evacuated after both sides had suffered heavy casualties and endured great hardships. Over 8,000 Australian soldiers were killed. News of the landing at Gallipoli made a profound impact on Australians at home and 25 April quickly became the day on which Australians remembered the sacrifice of those who had died in war.
Although the Gallipoli campaign failed in its military objectives of capturing Constantinople and knocking Turkey out of the war, the Australian and New Zealand actions during the campaign bequeathed an intangible but powerful legacy. The creation of what became known as the "ANZAC legend" became an important part of the national identity of both nations. This shaped the ways they viewed both their past and future.
Although I tend not to go to dawn service, the Last Post and the "lest we forget" never fail to rouse my emotions.
Listen to the Last Post here.
COMMENTS
well done hunni, ''lest we forget''
I have listened The Last Post an kept a moment of silence in the honour of the fighters who died there.
I salute your patriotism!
Lest We Forget. Too bad todays society is not taught, therefore can not forget.
May society one day truly acknowledge those who were prepared to die for us.
..a lot of valiant men lost their lives. So pleased you put this up.
Just lately I'm finding it exceedingly difficult to be enthusiastic over anything.
I don't know whether it's hormonal, or just due to the fact that I'm effectively working two full time jobs at once.
I wish it would stop though.
I also wish I could have someone hug me right now...

*sight*
If it`s not someone special you want I`ll give you a hug.
*huuuuuuuuugs Drak*

HUG! Hugs from strangers are like pennies on the ground...you never know where you'll find one, but pocket it anyway!
thank you kind stranger =)
This morning I had one of the most erotic dreams I've had in quite a while.
It involved someone I haven't met, only talked to online, who lives on the other side of the world.
(Not that that's a difficult thing, most people do. Lol)
I was visiting his part of the world, he was showing me the sights. He lives in such a beautiful part of the world.
I was staying at his place, which looked like it was the top floor of a whitewashed cottage, wooden floors, deep set windows, no ceiling so you could see the underside of the roof. The catch being that he lived with his family, and there seemed to be a dozen of them, from parents and grandparents down to little children, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
Fortunately they all took to me readily enough. I'm good like that ;)
It was warm and sunny. We were wearing cool clothes. We'd been out, tramping around the village, and just come back and sat down to relax. The rest of the family was out. We were sitting on the couch, arms draped over each other in a companionable way. We had a bit of a hug, and a friendly kiss, which developed into something more, unexpectedly. One thing led to another and we ended up in this huge old bed with brass fittings and white sheets and a white fluffy quilt. All I could think of was that omg he was so perfect, so beautiful, and here I was, and wanted to hide.
Anyway. I won't go into detail, hehe, but after just a little while the door of the cottage opened and in walked the entire family while we were in flagrante delicto. They lined up there, with identical expressions of shock, parents, grandparents, little kids... while we died of embarrassment on this big old bed. His mother eventually ushered everyone out, casting knowing grins back over her shoulder, and shut the door behind everyone. He went off and got dressed, and I quickly threw some clothes on, and we couldn't look at each other, and I was sad because I knew it probably wouldn't ever happen again.
And then I woke up.
Dream interpretation anyone? Lmao.
COMMENTS
Ok I am not an expert at dream interpretation but here goes
The sunny weather: This indicates that if a purple llama crosses your path in the next week you should immediately do three somersaults or the next time you buy Coke it will actually be Pepsi.
The white sheets: This represents that you from now should put your left shoe on first, unless the 4th day of the month is a Tuesday, and this of course can be overruled by someone handing you a hammer and proclaiming "The reds are coming!"
The bed: This is a lucky one, and could lead to great fortune. When Jupiter is in retrograde, you wake up to find an aubergine under your left armpit, and you are greeted on the street by a man dressed in a Bunyip suit, yelling "Wibble" to the tune Yankee Doodle, then you must bet your left shoe on horse 6 in the Melbourne Cup in the year 4621.
Or it could just mean you are an incredible pervert, take it how you will.
...lmfao
xander i do lubs you =D
I will point out, she has met me, and I don't live on other side of the world. No jumping to conclusions here :P
*hugs his Juwee*
ROFL!
Carsho, this was so funny! LOL
I`ll choose the simple explanation, however.
;))
..wish fulfillment?
So on Saturday I got my newest tragus changed from barbell to ring and as usual it's decided to go through the rejection process. So it's all hot and puffy and weepy and icky. Bleh.
Work is still being a bitch. Just counting down the days. Every time someone comes up and asks me to start some project or another I have to hold back from saying no because I'll be leaving soon...
I'll be announcing my leaving in May. I have the 5th to the 9th off. I was going to go down to Sydney but I can't afford it now. So when I get back to work on the 12th I'll be handing in my notice.
Woot!
Apart from that, not much else is happening. I'm on late shifts this week which means I'm exhausted pretty much all the time. I have some interesting personal issues happening, but they're personal. Oh and we're getting the business off the ground, the grand opening is on the 1st of May which I'm very excited about.
The Alchemie Shoppe
Please go see!!!

I'm excited!
I've arranged accommodation now post VR Meetup in NO through to the 28th August. I'll be in NO until the 11th August, then bussing up to Savannah where I will be to the 28th.
After that I was really really wanting to go to DragonCon... alas, there is no accommodation available in Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend for any sort of reasonable rates...
*cries*
So we'll see what happens after the 28th. If I can find accommodation, I'll be in Atlanta from the 28th August through the 2nd September.
After that I have some very dear friends coming down to pick me up and take me away! I'll be in PA for a good few weeks. After that it's anyone's guess =D
If you want details of where I'll be, want to arrange meetings etc, let me know!!!
COMMENTS
Well I'll be on the Gold Coast for that time, if you find yourself in the area :P
...lmao... xander you are a very strange person!
sounds awesome.
I can feel the excitment from here lol
One thing I have learnt over my whole learning experience is when people come to me for assistance I cannot turn them away. I have an obligation to help them. If I don't help them, I soon feel the repercussions.
The problem being that I can't always help.
And that even if I can help, it's not always the best thing.
My help sometimes hurts. It's not that I mean to... it's just the way it works out.
For example. Someone asked me to pray for them in the getting of a new job. Given my particular religious leanings (ie. I am a follower of Eris), I laughed and said, you don't want me to do that. But they persuaded me to, and I did. And found out the next day that they had been in excrutiating pain all day from a back spasm and had been fired from their old job. They got the new job though. Lol.
"The best laid plans gang aft agley"... that is the motto of my life.
COMMENTS
Please don't ever try and help me :P
I'll make a point not to hun. =P
..pity the 'people-pleasers' of this world.
Today at work, I put my entire team of 13 people on warning of disciplinary action over their attitudes and behaviours.
I have a team of older people for the most part (I'm the 3rd youngest in the team and I'm 34 and the manager) who are, frankly, sitting around waiting for a redundancy. They've been in the company for 10 years plus, which is an eternity these days, and they're used to getting things their own way because they're too difficult a team to deal with.
Well, today I had had enough. This time of the month is when the new roster comes out for the next 4 weeks or so and it's a time I dread, because pretty much the entire team will whinge and bitch and moan and groan and complain over it. Today they were doing it again. To the point where they had victimised one of my other staff, who is someone who works on creating the rosters for the centre. It had gone from barely tolerable to blatantly unacceptable. So I got them all together and told them that I was sick of it, sick of their attitudes, and that if I heard this kind of behaviour happening again I would instigate formal disciplinary procedures against the entire team if I had to.
I was so incredibly angry. I took over this team in October from mismanagement from the previous team leader, but they had been mismanaged for years and years previously. Now it's up to me to fix them up and get them straight, and I'm not even getting paid for this job!!!
Fortunately however, I only have a certain period of time until I leave.
Today the business got incorporated! Yay!!!
Also today, it's 65 more working days, and 3 months 2 weeks and 6 days until I fly out of here.
I so cannot wait.

If ANYONE can swing things around its you..you are just that awesome!
And we just keep watching the clock tick tock.
Wont be long now..
yay
I told you you're a bully, picking on geriatrics now.
some of these people are older than my mother. hence i can't believe the juvenile attitudes...
What's needed here I think is some older person type reasoning.....ie, do as your told or I'll take away your dentures.
lmao!!!
ew. i don't want to touch dentures. that's going above and beyond =P
