this is basically a revision of sadness.
I suggest this to you, sadness is meant to exist in a perfect world. I know I sound crazy, but consider this a sad story is considered a good story. But why must this be true. Why must we read a story that brings tears to our eyes. We read this gut wrenching tale of dying heroes, and weeping maidens. We read to feel the emotion of sadness...
If a story meant to sadden your emotions fulfills said emotion, then it has done its job. But do we, as people want to feel this emotion? This emotion so indescribable. This emotion that causes a pit in our stomach. This emotion of sadness that causes pain and emptiness. I for one need this emotion, so does everyone else, you need this emotion to survive.
So why must this dark emotion exist in this world? This world the "people" consider "bad." It exists because if not or world would not be perfect. Sadness would not be a factor in today's life. We would lose the experiences we've yet to have. Those moments when you've lost hope, and don't know what to do. When you feel your all alone. Poof, all those things no longer exist.
We have this sadness because without sadness we as humans miss out on an essential component of life. The component that makes us human. We would cease to weep when a loved one dies. We would no longer grieve for the victims of a great tragedy. We would be soul less. And I for one would hate to be soul less.
