The flight to Rikaana was a long one, nearly two weeks of cramped quarters and nothing to do. I could always fly at night, but I didn't stray far from the ship. At the altitude their airship flew we were constantly moving through massive cloud banks, even more annoying was the cloaking charms on the thing. The Elemental's auras would've been dead giveaways, even up here. The Blooded Edge's had all their flanks covered, not bad at all. During the days I stayed below decks, I didn't feel like exerting the energy against the damned Sun. Renta; one of my fellow lieutenants, or whatever title we were this time. We played the Elven game of Skayros to pass the daylight hours. She was Vampiric as well, and even less fond of that baleful eye in the sky than I. The game was tactical in nature, with objective pieces on both sides, that were obviously the focus point of the game. The other pieces had distinct movements and purposes, the best thing was that no board was required. You were meant to use things like cups, boots, or cloth; as markers for different terrain. I hadn't played it many times before that trip, but despite everything else that happened; that game would become a favorite of mine for life.
