Blood Script Magick
Blood Script magick is the writing of a wish or desire in your own blood, and so sending that desire to the universe. Their are several ways of accomplishing this and so here I will explain what I have learned on the subject throughout my journey. I aim to do so in a way that will be useful to both beginning travelers and the more experienced.
I will begin with what is probably the most difficult part for some, obtaining the blood. There are a few ways and some ways are only used for one method of blood scripting, and there are a few methods that can be used.
See a doctor and request a vial of your blood drawn, tell him it is for religious reasons, explain more if you want and explain that you came to him so you could have a professional do so safely in a sterile environment. This way is good for obtaining a large amount which you can freeze and already treated with an anti coagulant.
Visit your local pharmacy and purchase a finger pricker for blood testing. This is good for getting a few drops, try to find the ones with adjustable needle depth. They are very simple to use, ask your pharmacist if your unsure as there are several types and models. Be sure to use alcohol wipes before pricking your finger.
At your own risk, I recommend letting professionals handling this If possible for your own safety. While at the pharmacy look into getting needle tips and a syringe, explain if you want but most places they have to sell them to you. Or go online I've seen complete blood collection kits on e-bay under $100.
Old school knife way is dangerous and the most painful and ineffective most times method I don't recommend this method but religiously it has been used before.
Now that that is out of the way I will move on to Blood Script Magick Methods and Techniques. Firstly its not simply writing you also must visualize your desire or wish in your mind along with the emotion you have associated with it. This is very important because as you write with your blood, which is a piece of yourself charged with your soul, the universe does not see the words or symbols the universe sees your intent and feelings that you have imbued upon those words as you write. Due to this, the specific language or symbols you use are do not matter as long as they have meaning to you personally. So in essence you are putting your feelings and desires into a physical form using your blood as a medium of your soul, creating a Talisman or spell that the universe can Identify, and alter the energies around you accordingly. Also you should always create a sacred space to work in before you begin, whatever method you usually use for this is fine. Personally I create a ring of stones with white stones at the cardinal directions and two black river stones between each, I then light incense to the east stone and a candle to the west. I then take a hand broom I make from wild mint stalks bound together and sweep the air around in circular motions as I turn to each direction and call on my spirit guide, mother nature and the universe to purify the space and guide my hand. I then sit facing north with my materials gathered before me.
Before I get into the details there are a few ways your blood can be used, You can use your blood straight if you have enough, with a paint brush or your fingers. You can Mix a few drops of your blood with a Crimson acrylic paint and use a paint brush or your fingers. Or you can use a self fill calligraphy set with red ink, and add a few drops of your blood to enough ink to fill your calligraphy pen or you can use an old school quill and dip it in said ink. If you want to do a whole bottle of ink you will need more than a few drops, use at least 15-20 drops for a full ink bottle of average size.
Now on to the different techniques and Methods.
First, there is what I call the “Written in blood, sealed in fire” method. If your doing this indoors you will want a fireproof cauldron or cast iron kitchen pot. You will need paper, whichever blood medium you want; paint, straight, or ink and whatever tool your using to write; fingers, paint brush, quill or calligraphy pen. Firstly create your sacred space in the method you are accustomed to, and place your materials in front of you. Focus your mind on your desire, feel what you want with your heart, soul and mind, then when you feel you are ready begin your writing, keeping your mind focused on your desire until you have completed your script. You can use words or symbols whatever represents your desire most strongly to you, you can even sketch an image if you so desire to do so. Once you have completed your script, read it over with your mind still focused, and speak your desire over it, allowing your breath to touch the page as you do so, this imbues life into your script. The breath of life so to speak. Still keeping your mind focused on your desire then take your candle and place it in the center of your cauldron or cast iron pot, you will then begin speaking your desire once more as you begin to burn the page you have done, be careful not to burn your fingers, once it has caught flame allow it to fall into the cauldron and burn completely. Once you are done, thank whatever deities you have called, and close your circle, then take the ashes out doors and scatter them in the wind, once more reciting your desire with it in your mind. Be sure to thank the universe or whatever deities you worship for listening and your done. *Note, If you do this outdoors you don't need a cauldron and your ashes can scatter as they burn, so the final step, other than thanking the universe, is unnecessary.*
Next there is what I call “The Script-book”. The method for this is very much similar to the Written in blood, sealed in fire method, except you will use a sketch book, and there is no burning. For this method, create your sacred space, focus your mind heart and soul on your desire, and write your desires on a page of the sketchbook, speaking your desire and breathing life on the page same as before, then you allow the page to dry and leave it in the book, using the next page for your next Script whenever you do another, you can continue to use this method till the book is full. Once the book is full you will bury it beneath a fruit bearing tree and thank the universe or any deities you worship for the aid. Remember to close your circle and thank your deities/spirit guides/the universe after each session.
Finally there is the Talisman method. For this you will need either straight blood or the paint method, a paint brush or your fingers, a piece of wood from a fruit bearing tree that you want to make into a talisman, and if you wish to; a knife or hobby knife or Dremel tool to carve your script into the wood. Carving is not required but if you intend to carry your talisman in your pocket or a bag or purse you might want to do this to prevent your script rubbing off. If you do decide to carve it first you will want to use a paint brush as your fingers wont be very effective painting inside the carved lines. For this method, create your sacred space, focus your mind heart and soul on your desire, and begin carving if your doing so or jump wright to painting if your not. If you choose to carve you will have to paint your carvings after with your blood medium. Either way remember to keep your mind focused and after it is painted speak your desire over your work and breath upon it, giving life to your talisman. Then close your circle and thank your deities/spirit guides/ the universe. You can carry your talisman on your person or hang it in your home or place it on your altar, just remember to bring your desire to mind when you hold it or look upon it.
In closing remember to be creative, to use words and symbols and drawings that are meaningful to you. Always be safe and use proper antiseptics etc when obtaining your blood. Practice makes perfect, and you will not likely do everything perfect, noone expects you too, the universe isnt looking for perfection, its looking for feelimg, for passion, and desire, so live life to the fullest and do your best! I hope this was helpful and informative and May Allt Saman bless your journey Brothers and Sisters of life.
