It's been one crazy week! We're currently in NC and have been since mid August for work. I swear I travel more than I am home. Hurricane Helene has really done a number here, to put it extremely lightly. We were without power and water for 36 hours and just got our internet back today. It was hell to be without water the most, but I can't complain as I have it much better than many. There are currently still 323,645 without power in NC... I have no idea what that number is for SC, TN and Ga. Our normal route home was washed away by a mudslide, but thankfully there are alternative routes we can take when we head back end of this month. The grocery stores here are still pretty bare, which is likely both because many lost food during power outages, trucks not being able to easily access the stores for deliveries, and we can't forget the panic mode people go into when natural disasters happen. It saddens me to see the state of so many different cities around here and to know how much loss there has been. Seriously though... F you Helene.
