They always come back.

Well the babies momma came and got them on Friday and moved them out and in with her. They came back Saturday for dinner. Sunday was a quiet peaceful day. I stayed in bed all day and watched tv. On Monday I began thinking of how my Tuesday would go. For the hubby would go back to work on Tuesday, the boy would go to school, babies with momma. And me home alone in my house. I was at first scared of what I might do, I have not been alone in my house but a couple of times in the last few years. Then I began thinking about the closet. And how I have been planning on cleaning that out. I have some new boxes for organizing. I have a new shelf , I put up a few weeks ago and my mind began to take off. Thats about when I got the phone call. " Mom can I bring the kids back?" And when they got here and to me with hugs and kisses that's when I realized, What good is a clean closet anyway, When you have these wonderful babies to play with?

The Game

Now I though this was a brilliant idea. My husband however did not think so. When my children were young we played the "quiet game" whatever child could stay "quite" the longest would win a prize.

A couple days ago when the children had come back from a day with thier mom the car seats were sitting here waitng to be put back in my car. The kids were playing in them just having a ball. Thats when I got the idea. Oh we can pretend we are going on a trip right here in the house. I can put them in thier seats and lock them all up. Give them some snacks and a few toys. Then pretend we are driving to florida!!! Thats a 23 hour drive from here. I should get a couple things done before we hit a rest area....

Hubby says it's not a good game and now we can't play. Well I knew all that to begin with but I can dream....

That's what I thought

I am adding this as a second entry because who wants to read one long boring story just to read a couple funny lines? Not me. So this babypfoof room was great for about 1 day. I got it all done and I put up the gate and turned on the tv for them. I sat myself down here it's about 12 feet from the door. So I watched them play and have a great time. All was great. I had done it!! And then, last night as I am trying to drain and clean a fish tank to add some new fish, since I killed all the others. I put them in the room turned on the tv and told my husband now watch. And he did, He watched our grandson move the fan from the doorway and push his toy obx over in front of the gate. He then climed into the toy box and walked over his toys. He then used the locking bar on the other side of the gate as a foot peg. And out he was!!!

These monster children

Well It's beginning to come back to me. Things I did to keep my sanity when my own wild child was young. I totally packed up and removed all of their mothers crap from their room. Then I covered all the outlets, and did all those other things to "baby proof" the room. The only thing I have left to do before I would leave them alone in there at night is bolt down the furnature. Now I know you are laughing, but I am serios. My own son at one time pulled the drawers out and used them as stairs to climb to the top of the dresser. I am not sure how far he got as we woke to the crash. His legs were pinned between the dreser and the bed!! Yes he was fine all but the butt warmin he got. So I think I can sit at my computer and have some time for myself!!
