Ick, British Marmite is NOT the same!

Why am I posting so often on here? Well for one I've got nothing else to do, and two I'm a wee bit lonely :(

EDIT: I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW! Now now Freyja don't get too excited just yet...

For the flyer job, but it's not as boring as it sounds because you get to dress up really spooky and dramatically persuade people to come on a ghost tour. PRAY FOR MEEEEE!

Healthy

I've decided to start looking after myself now that I'm getting older :p I mean in the future there's the choice of looking pretty or looking icky, being healthy or not, and I say choice because you choose whether or not you're going to look after yourself properly. One of my main concerns has always been my horrible teeth, they're never white and they keep breaking. My mum had cracking teeth too and now she has none at all! I just bought some fancy mouthwash that supposedly you use it and then spit out all the grossness and you can see it in the sink. So I used and and it worked, eww!! But atleast my mouth will be clean and with a bit of luck, all my teeth won't fall out like my mum's. My other big mission will be trying to lose the 10kg which I really don't need. That will be the hardest because if you know me, you'll know I can never ever resist chocolate. Maybe I'll have one day a week where I'll treat myself to something made of chocolate and I'll appreciate it more or something. Also I'm going to try and take better care of my skin by staying out of the sun. I like the sun but it doesn't like me!

Well I just decorated my room with a few posters so now it's not a plain white room of boringness. I also just legally moved into my flat and got my very own set of keys, including one extra mystery key that I can't figure out what it goes to. I had to pay £20 more than what I was told because I had to use an overseas debit card, dumb!?!?Bleh. Well now it's off to get groceries and to call the man about the flyer job.

Old Age

Damn, now that I have internet I'm quickly returning to my staying up all night zombie mode. Anyway yesterday I walked past a great big group of emo, goth and scene kids who seemed to have gathered together for a day out to act like dorks and then go sit in the gardens. From a distance I couldn't tell, but it was when I walked right past them that I realised they were all between 13-17 ish and then I felt.. so... old!! But at the same time I felt mature in a good way, like I know I'd rather be this grown up person who is still able to dress up than be a dorky little kid going through a phase like them. Getting older is a strange thing. It feels weird to be an adult but I definitely prefer it to being a teenager.

Yep

Guess who's currently visiting the city? The Queen :p I also love the fact that JK Rowling lives here, well atleast I think she does or did. I'm thinking of writing to her even though it'll probably never be read but it might be fun to do for the hell of it.

Anyway, yesterday I saw a person with more piercings than ANYONE I HAVE EVER SEEN. Like so many that you couldn't see their face. I would have asked for a photo but I'm too shy. It's never boring here, it's like London only it's smaller and Scottish and not as expensive. I also discovered today that I'm five minutes walk from a shopping mall that's bigger and cooler than three Meridians (which is a big mall where I live). Today I bought a mug that's shaped like a skull, it rules. However I haven't heard back about the flyer job, so I can't go insane shopping yet because I still have no money. Going to call them tomorrow and say, "Where's my job bitch!?", well perhaps not in those words but maybe a bit politer.

Oh yeah, today I was carefully shaving my eyebrows as I do (It's easier and less painful than plucking them) and somehow managed to remove most of them, maybe I wasn't paying attention or something. Not that it makes much difference since they're so fair anyway, but it turned out a good thing because it's now much easier to draw them on :p Well methinks that's all for now. I have a boring lease signing to go to tomorrow by myself which I'm sure with be screeds of fantastic fun. So yes, good night all.

Ah Cripes

23:57 Jun 30 2008

I just had this very sad dream in which I died. I died right at the start of the dream so the rest of it was about what it was like to be a ghost. You'd think that wouldn't be too bad but it was such a sad dream because most of it was just feelings; like being sad that my family would be upset and I couldn't talk to them anymore, that I had to stop living my life, and fearful of what would happen if I chose to 'cross over' and leave this world. It was so weird and felt so real, so I'm still feeling a bit strange this morning, but atleast I'm filled with a renewed feeling of being happy just for being alive. One of those things that makes you really want to live life, but I already felt like that!

I hope this dream just just by overactive imagination and not some sort of horrible omen.

Anyway I have no idea what I should do today, probably shop for more basic things like clothes airers or something. I just had the bestest ever breakfast of a huge bowl of just blackberries, raspberries, and bananas, but from now on all I have is porridge. I need a job, it sucks having no money! I mean I've been in situations like this before, but I've just had to hand over £500 and tomorrow I have to fork out another £500, which is nearly NZ$3000! Lots of money going out and none coming in is bad.

Good Morning Freyja

23:56 Jun 30 2008
Times Read: 651

Alright that was officially the coollest thing I've ever woken up to. I like living here. I woke up to something very loud, leapt out of bed and stuck my head out the window to discover some sort of parade going by. Four or five marching bands playing drums and flutes very loudly and carrying big flags went down the street and I had the best view of all. Awesome! Yay Edinburgh!

View from my window about 20 mins ago.

I suppose I'm living on one of the main streets and should expect things like that, but on my second night here it was very welcome. The only downer to living in the city is that it's never ever quiet, but atleast there's always plenty of people watching to be done, like yesterday I watched some sort of small crime scene across the road.

Well I'm also feeling happy this morning because I had pillows, a quilt and sheets to sleep on last night, whereas the night before I did not and had to make do with a cushion and my coat. Today I shall go shopping, print some boring but important documents, and apply for a job with a tour company. Wish me luck folks I really want this job and desperately need it.
