Yesterday was a bust for uploading videos. I wasn't feeling good and didn't think I'd do it at all. Later in the evening I got up and recorded anyway, but iMovie kept giving me failures in my upload to YouTube attempts. Today it's working, so you get a two-fer, yesterday's video and today :)
I know... that's a stupid joke of an intro in the video- but off the cuff of watching Tiger King (of which I left despising everyone in it), it just came out.
They are the ones I grab before any of the others- no matter how much I love the artwork in The Dark Mansion Tarot. And I love how two mass market affordable decks have such a draw to them.
By the way- I might have confused some people when I used the word "author" instead of artist in part of this video. That's because Tarot writers direct artists in most of these decks to bring their vision to the cards- so it's many times not an artist's idea, but the author's.
I have over 40 decks right now... but I can only show so many 🤣

As the Queen of this suit is the stereotypical motherly role, the King is a stereotypical fatherly role in the realm of security and material things. Or maybe just a strong male figure with these things (or strong woman in this position many view as a “man’s role”). I don’t have a problem accepting and recognizing men and women falling in different roles that are unconventional in society… But some people do, so I feel the need to break it down in such a way where they don’t put limits on certain cards and fail to see what they can mean. Some people are hard fast with certain cards having to be men or women- and they’re going to do what they will- but their readings will always have blinders.

The Knights always denote movement- that’s why in most decks they are charging on horse or something else guised as a steed. Standing still like this one shows usually isn’t preferred in a deck. With the pentacles being the material world- this could be a hard worker. Depending on the question you’re asking, this could be talking about someone who’s getting things done or someone who needs to get things done. Most of the time this is about a person who’s making things happen.

Ethereal Visions Illuminated Tarot Deck and Golden Thread Tarot
I purposefully didn't use flash because the glare from the metallics on these boxes throws it off.
I’ve broken it down to these two decks to show next. They will be hard to take pictures of and really demonstrate how pretty they are because of their foil stamping… So I am going to take videos of them instead. One is a recent acquisition and shockingly a mass market production (due to the quality, which is excellent). The other is a gift from Nicole and is unique to itself. It’s amazing for so many reasons, and I will get into that in the videos.
Sunday will be the final day of showcasing the Dark Mansion Tarot. At that point... I think I am going to look for another deck to spotlight for 78 days- or at least a couple days of multiple Major Arcana, then 4 separate days for suits... I'll figure it out. Not sure which one though. I have a couple beautiful gold foiled decks, but they don't show up well in photos- better in video, and I don't want to take 78 videos :P If I break them down to 6 or 7 videos with multiple cards in each, that'll be easier.
In most decks you’ll see a happy family together. It could be that what you were looking for specifically has come true. This card is legacy. An appreciation for what you’ve created and the blessings you have.
