Over the past 2 weeks I have slept better than I have over the past 7+ years.



I'm in a new house and a new bed. That is all that's changed... But I am sleeping better and less. I don't need 10 hours of sleep anymore to feel rested. Most mornings I am waking before my alarm goes off.

This morning I had the pleasure of digging out my truck. It snowed 14 inches between 9am and 9pm yesterday. Wind gusts were in excess of 87 mph. My truck was totally buried.

I'm not a depressive person. I'm rarely 'down'. But this has been a tough week... Major life changes are eminent.



I know a lot of people turn to music for emotional balance or uplifting. I'm not really like that... With one exception, Cami Elen.



When I listen to Cami sing I can't help but smile. It's not all about her and Darling Violetta. It's more personal for me. I got to spend time with them in LA. They came and performed at a show I promoted in Phoenix. The band crashed at my apartment that night, and Cami slept in my bed.



No, I wasn't there with her.



In fact, that night, Cami, Gerri (the cellist), and Steve's (the drummer) wife all slept in my bed that night. But I digress...



I can't help but smile when I listen to Cami sing. It's the ultimate mood enhancer for me. Part of it is the music. The rest of it is remembering good times that happened on the other side of the country.



Cami's a special gal.
