The next Dark Network site is: http://www.bloodyfeather.com
The site is close to completion. It's a smaller site and its focus is Journals. It will have one unique feature: RSS feeds for Journal pages.
I've finished 1 RSS Feed section. Log into the site, click on Journals, then click on Favorite Journals. You'll see this icon:
Click on it. If you have any Favorite Journals stored, an RSS version of the Favorite Journals page is generated.
If you know about RSS feeds, you'll know the kinds of things you can do with this data. You can paste the URL into a news reader or import the feed into sites like My Yahoo! You can, with a little html knowledge, incorporate RSS feeds into your personal web pages.
A few words of warning:
Some browsers have RSS capability built in, some don't. These feed pages generate okay with the newest version of Firefox and Opera. With IE 6, you'll just see the XML code. I don't know how IE 7 renders RSS pages.
What I have left to complete at Bloody Feather:
The main index page.
Custom profile colors for Premium members.
Additional RSS feeds:
Feeds for each individual Journal page.
Feeds for the most read Journals.
Feeds for the most recent Journal posts.
I'll probably need about a week to finish up the site.
