The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

So this was my first Bat's Day. It was fun. As soon as I have a few pictures passed on to me of what I was wearing, I'll post them.



I wasn't too miserable. I chose a red, light, long-sleeved shirt. My only exposed parts were hand and head. SPF 70 took care of them.



What I most commonly overheard:



"There must be something going on today."



"That's a nice shirt."



Not too much disdain. Overall it was very fun. I had to leave at 6pm. I had to drive back to Phoenix so that I could make a 10am class on Monday. That kind of sucked.



I'll probably go next year if my schedule allows it.

Photos and video of Android Lust. I was literally standing directly in front of Shikhee, so I had the best possible angle. However, I was so close, that the audio didn't turn out that well. The drums are too loud and the vocals are too soft. I was standing between the speakers and a little behind them.



But when she wails you can hear her ;)

I had a couple of surprises this evening. I met more Vampire Rave members, ones who recognized me and approached me. One girl was too shy to ask if I was 'Cancer'. After talking for about 10 minutes she worked Vampire Rave into the conversation.



I won one of the raffles. I got a big bag of stuff they said was worth $200. I haven't really gone through the bag. I'll look at it when I get home.



The real surprise came at dinner. Android Lust was seated at my table. They were the whole reason I decided to come to Bat's Day this year.



It was cool getting to know them a little. I got some great video I'll post when I get home.

I just arrived at the event hotel. It's really nice... Everyone that made reservations via the event website got special pricing on suites. I've got a 3 room suite that sleeps 6 all to myself.



Goths are everywhere. We've practically taken over a $200 per night hotel. I can only imagine what's going through the minds of the 'regular' people.

I leave for Anaheim Friday morning.

I just got home from Vegas this afternoon. It was a really good trip. A few highlights:

I'm a little more than half way through my Vegas trip. It's been fun, although at this point I am more tired than when I left Phoenix. I've been out late every night this week.



Last night DarknessBound and I had dinner, saw Zumanity, hit Ghostbar, Moon, and the Playboy Club before DB's feet gave out.

Today I got a pleasant surprise. DarknessBound is going to be in Vegas for the exact same dates I am. It was totally unplanned. I always enjoy spending time with her.



We'll get to do a few things together. I'll post pictures.
