Meg watched him go on his way as she crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back against the wall. "She walked back in her room and threw on a pair of black leather pants and a tight black t- shirt that some wise ass had printed up that read "Meg did it." she glanced down at the words that stretched over her chest and laughed to herself whispering " Not this fuckin time but I will end it"
She threw a vial into a vase on the mantle, grabbed a black leather jacket and vanished into the shadows. The next time she appeared she was sitting in the darkness of Frost's room her feet were crossed and sitting up on the top of his desk. Her Doc Martins nice and clean resting on top of a bunch of papers he had left out. She looked at her watch as she heard the familiar footsteps in the hallway. the door opened seconds later and Frost walked in trying to command the lights to come on and illuminate the room. He took a few steps into the room and the sound of glass crunching beneath his feet echoed into the room. he bent down to pick up the small fragments only to find out it was the glass from the lightbulb in the room. As he stood back up the sound of a match being struck and a tiny flame appeared on top of a candle.
The soft whisper of breath being blown over the matchstick filled his ears.
" Meg ..... " he smiled as he watched her swing her feet from the desktop and rise to get out of the chair.
Meg smiled warmly at him " Frost, keeping some late hours lately " she said as she took a few steps toward him, her green eyes catching the glimmer from the lit candle. He took her hand and moved his lips to kiss the back of her hand
" Meg I knew you would "She cut him off before he could finish pulling her hand away from his. She placed a finger on his lips and whispered "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh actions speak louder then words lets not ruin this moment" she walked around him looking him over a smile on her face as she stopped behind him her arm wrapping around his chest . Her fingers gliding over his skin. her lips brushed against the back of his neck delicately her breath hot against his skin she watched the little goosebumps rise from her touch
" Frost do you remember when you came to me and you asked me to be your sire in fact you begged me " her hand grabbed him and spun him around to face her. Her lips an inch from his she looked into his eyes " You wanted to be a god a creature of incredible power and skill. but that time is gone and in case you didn't know it yet." she brought her lips down on his hard holding him tight she inhaled deeply black tendrils pulling at his soul as she inhaled . She felt him gasping for air she felt his muscles stiffen and fight her but her grip was a death grip as she pulled at his soul. Her lips left his and she pushed him to the ground " God is a female dickhead you will never have that kind of power or an opportunity to be close to one again." A sword appeared in her hands and came down on his neck. With one fell swoop it loped his head off. She picked it up in her hands by the hair the look of shock still on the face. She licked the blood from her sword and returned it into the darkness it belonged to.
She stood up and wiped the blood on the sleeve of her shirt off her face. She kicked the torso once and turned toward the window the head still in her hand. She turned her head and glanced back once, her eyes black and void, she watched as the body combusted into flames. She jumped from the balcony and was seen walking across the graveyard momentarily before she turned into a mist.
My mortal name was Megan Winter centuries ago I gave up that name for the taste of immortality. I have had a few names since my life in the shadows began just as I have had many lovers and many lifetimes of happiness and sometimes pain. My immortal name is Meg Drakulya it was changed the night I felt the kiss of my father that kiss of death that lasted but a moment and changed my life for all eternity.
Since that night so many moons ago I have married five times, only once did I take the name of my mate and married outside of my line and the blood. I became Meg Dreamwalker, that fateful night, the night my soul was tainted by a demon. After parting ways with that mate I have taken back my maiden name Meg Drakulya . I use Winter for the book keeping and taxes of the mortal world to keep my home and business legit among the humans.
We all must find someways of conforming to hide our true nature, to hide the beast within. We all must find ways to embrace our inner monster and unleash it in order to survive, in order to thrive and grow as the centuries melt away.We don’t change on the outside for all to see but we change on the inside as time goes on.
To most I would appear as a 24 year old female fair of skin hair as dark as night, eyes as green as emeralds, lips full and as red as the blood I drink. I am not very tall 5’5 the illusion of the high heels I am addicted to wearing give the illusion I am taller. A curvy frame usually attracts my nightly snack. Packaged usually in something tight and leather few mortals could refuse a beauty with a bad girl edge and few mortals live to tell of the night they caught the attentions of me.
Long ago it was easier to hunt to catch our prey and dispose of them but as technology has grown we have had our difficulties keeping our secrets. That was when I built my home here the funeral home a place for kindred of the blood to have a safe disposal to clean up the bodies we would normally dump by the side of a road. Now we can cover up our trails and profit from it as well.
Don’t get me wrong we don’t hate mortals yes they feed our hunger but there are a few we meet we hope one day will cross over to our darkness and stay with us forever but they are given a choice we all have been given that chance to choose ……. To live among the light of day, or stalk among the shadows of the night. The few we let peer into our darkness understand our nature and they aid us in keeping our secret helping us survive above ground. We keep them comfortable and happy and we respect them here on the grounds of the cemetery and grant them as many wishes an dreams as we can.
This is my world and these are my companions this is the city we live love and learn in.
Welcome to Winter Funeral Home
