As we enter the Christmas season, I find myself comtemplating life and my place in it.

There are times in life when we don't know what is up and what is down. Whether we are coming or going. I have alot of those moments. I try so hard to help the people I believe that God has placed in my life, and I get so lost in their issues that I forget there is a line I can't cross. I can't make their minds up on anything, I can't make them see what they refuse to and I can't give them anything they won't give themselves. All I can do wait for them to give me the opportunity to help where I can. Believe it or not this lesson took more than 30 years to get a real handle on. I still find myself wanting to do too much, and in some cases still going overboard but not so much in the way of trying to make decisions for other people.

I know I am here to show people what love is. I am not perfect at it but that is my job in life. To truly accept every person that comes across my path until they have proven to me that I can't. To love others for who they are and to stand by that love no matter what they do in this life and whether I agree with them in it or not. As hard as it is some days, it is the only way I can look myself in the mirror. I don't know what job I am to have as in teacher, artist that kind of thing but I do know that I am here to help everyone I can. The only question left is what do you do when you can never be sure that anything you do is helping... I guess just close your eyes, take a deep breath and pray for the best huh?
