A person cannot expect someone they've never met to remain faithful to them. If they do, great. If they don't, it is your mistake if you judge them based on that.

And, really, it's not so much a trust thing that breaks internet relationships down; it's distance. Which, I guess, can lead to trust issues, but it's really distance that makes things hard. If you can't physically be with someone it makes it difficult to perceive the relationship as real--for the parties involved and for those witnessing it.
Also, there's the whole question of whether or not the people involved are real people or if they're role playing. I mean, you could think you're dating a single, good-looking, gainfully employed guy, but then you could find out that he's married with a couple of kids and has been an unemployed drunk for most of his life. Anybody can tell you anything on the internet. I could say I'm a Playboy bunny when in reality I'm a 400lb housewife. Yeah.

We have been married for almost 5 years.
Not all my online reltionships were as fortuitous. Some men were children, wanting a mother figure.
Some were assholes, just in it for what they could get out of it in a weekend.
At least one was just a player, who hurt me very badly, and laughed at the gag he had played on me. From the website where we met (Audiogalaxy.com, now rhapsody) my story of what he did spawned an entire group of women who absolutely hated this man, because he had done the same thing to them.

This Christmas is the FIRST One ever that I have gotten Christmas cards addressed to me and only me! I feel so ♥ and it is the First Christmas where I have gotten gifts from someone who is more than just a friend....and he got shorty stuff too!!! :D
Every year around the holidays I used to get that feeling of when is it my turn to be happy? Since 2 of the most influential people in my life passed away I've felt like that......They both gave me something back when I had Helena and I love them both for it and they now have given me back the other part I was missing....

Sorry i've been awol from VR lately..Life has caught up with me in a VERY STRANGE WAY!!
A former relationship has been re-kindled now that things have finally gotten on a better level between the two of us......and I'm as giddy as a school girl....
It started 3 years ago when I first started debating the "Do I Want To Start Dating Again?" MEH......Then I Met HIM
Now I'm not one to date people I work with cause A it leads to drama
But I couldn't help myself when I saw him....Now I'm not one to go into a HOLY SHIT moment when it comes to guys..but this was a total HOLY SHIT moment......after hearing now what he went through (checking me out for 2 weeks before even getting up the nerve to talk to me) It's a big thing!!!
Then things went sour.....We had a big falling out where words were exchanged and I was left nursing a broken heart....
Fast foward to last month.....Where I was shocked to get a phone call and now here we are..I'm being spoiled rotten and shocked to find that its the same as if I never left him
