The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Yesterday at around 3 in the morning, my dog Toby died. He was the brother to my dog Rayne who died in December.



Toby was like Rayne in so many ways in that he was a cuddler, he loved to play, he loved walks, and he was always a very happy dog. Toby was very unique though. He gave hugs to me and only me. When I would go to bed, he would come lay right next to me until I fell asleep. He followed me everywhere throughout the house.



He was my best friend for nealy 9 years and he was taken away from me so unexpectedly.



About a month ago, Toby had what we thought was a cyst in his ear. It doubled in size so we took him to the vet a couple weeks ago and found out he popped a blood vessel. The vet removed it and Toby was fine. Then I was skyping with my Oma yestday and Toby threw up and my Opa got a little mad because he did it on the carpet.



Oma had to get off skype with my to clean it up. I called her a little while late to tell her I was going to bed and not to call anymore tonight.



The next morning at 8:15, Oma called my mom. We knew something was wrong right away because Oma's never up that early. Then she told us Toby died.



She said that after he threw up the first time, they let him out for a little while and then let him back in and he just kept throwing up all throughout the house. They finally put him in the kitchen so that it would be easier to clean up. My Opa (who has very bad back pain) laid down with Toby in the kitchen to comfort him. Toby's breathing got to sounding like it was very difficult for him to breathe. Opa told him that he's a strong dog and he can make it through this. But he was just too weak. Oma went into the kitchen to check on him, and both she and Opa told Toby it was okay for him to go, and he let out his last breath.



It was with great sorrow that I said goodbye to my best friend and companion. But he's not suffering anymore and now he can be with Rayne.



Rest in Peace Tobias Siegfried. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.
