'Hindsight is a marvellous thing,' many will say.
It is true, it can be.
With a little thought though, any thought can be viewed by its owner in an almost convenient manner.
Any owner of memories can seek to over right said memories, in an effort to justify their actions to others {those in their immediate circle} and, themselves.
To them, a malleable memory is a tool to be utilised, as they seek to justify their personal truth.
And at this point I would tentatively suggest that even with video evidence of the original action, their own narrative would supersede truth evident, in their eyes.
The actual truth of a situation, any situation, can easily be estranged from reality, by those who enjoy the benefits of having a malleable memory.
To the owners of such a memory, being able to exchange actual truth, for a perceived inner truth inner truth, is an insult to those around them and, in turn themselves.
Time will tell.
Memories can also be transient and as a consequence, actual truth can be superseded by perceived inner truth. Yet, actual truth is not transactional, no matter what hindsight might suggest.
It is what it is.
