yet, the porch has

kept the saddle dry;

as wrecked as you

and you ask yourself,

‘Why on Earth does

he wear those damn

bright green crocs?’

You are the light of my eyes;

even though we’re apart,

Thoughts of you make me feel bright

Like a single flower on a building site,

or a bird that soars in flight.



A Rainbow, that ends a rainy day;

the scent of a flower and new mown hay,

all bring to mind, you image so kind.

Alone at night and

after a fight, I sat.

I sat and wondered

wondered where

she had gone and

who she was with

without me; and

with a Life of her

own; an I’m just

sittin, alone; and

just sittin, feelin

very alone and

feelin lonely: jus

kinda wishin, I’d

not learnt to feel

again, feel alone

and lonely again.

I think of the Lady, the

one that I knew and

now feel like I never

knew at all: and, I have

to wonder why her

impression of Claude

Rains bothers me so;

and I think it is ‘coz

I’d longed her to be

more than it turned out

she was, which was just

another of those, who

say to you, “I’m like

no other,” when she

was, just that: and the

knowledge that I had

made that mistake hurts

like I cannot describe.

It’s crystal clear to me

which hurts longest

the drop of a head as

it rolls of the block,

after facing the chop;

or the fellow, whose

chord doesn’t open

his ‘chute doesn’t open

and has thousands of feet

to drop, or the empty

soul left, after someone

you called friend, decides

to drop you, for another?
