thankful, for the warmth

Life is circular, which is something I've been saying for years. Well, this was evidenced yet again the other day, when events had transpired as they had
.
I had thought I'd been calling at Karl's, but he thought I was early. And, as I'd worked out the dates later, I found that he might have been correct; yet at the time, I'd been certain that I'd been right.

Yet, that had left me with the money I'd set aside, to take to his, so that I could acquire the Doctor Who audio's I enjoy listening to, so much. So the next afternoon, I'd caught the train to Liverpool and made a trip to the more commercial of the two comic shops there, the one I prefer now full of comic-book squidgy toys on the ground floor, with the downstairs now the only bit that still resembles a comic shop and, not a kiddies toy shop.

In Forbidden Planet I'd acquired a few audio discs, one of which had been one of the Doctor Who audio's I'd lost, when I'd accidentally deleted a folder on my laptop late at night, one night when I'd been enjoying a drink, or so...

And the only reason I'd got it, was because I'd had the issue with dates and suchlike...

Talking circular times, again: no sooner do I recover from a chest infection, thanks to doxycycline, then I get an infection in my sinus, so needed to take Amoxycillin. Then, as I am about to take the last one, my last tooth at the front, begins giving me problems, with the beginnings of a probable infection, that can be felt, in the crease of the right side of my face, which may require the darned antibiotic that I took previously for such a things, which entailed a strict no-drinking embargo.

Now, my doctor already knows I've an issue with antibiotis, so often will give me the extra four days worth I'll need, when I do get a script. But, I also am aware of how bad I was when I took a few types of antibiotics at once, when I had several
infections in my face. My mistake, then. It is a mistake I never want to repeat, such had been the effects on my bodies dietary tract.

Now, I want a real gap between antibiotics, 'n I just wish my health allowed it to happen...

And back to medical matters again, after several dry overly warm days, for me, I’d stood outside outpatients on the Friday, neath a deluge, as I awaited a taxi, having had the x-ray I' been sent for; seeking analysis on potential spondylitis which is something else, I'd not known of, for me...

That said, I had enjoyed the rain falling on my exposed flesh... and smiled at the few passers-by [and I'll lay thoughts that they believed me a fool]. It'd felt excellent, a moment of reality, in a grey painful world.

Then as days passed and it grew hotter, I begun to wish for a proper break from a heat that I’d find distinctly uncomfortable. And unfortunately for me, on the Tuesday I was having the sort of day that meant too much time spent in the bathroom and, enough wind to start a hurricane. I'd looked at the thermometer in the kitchen at one point and, it'd read 82 -84

While some may like the heat, I just find it oppressive and, when I feel bad anyway, it sure as wotsits doesn't help.

Once more I have to appreciate my audiobooks, for those moments when...

Then, on the Wednesday when I'd call on a friend, he called on me, in his car. He had taken me down the road to Raby Mere, my Peaceful Place.

It'd been early evening and there were few there other than us and the light was just perfect. We'd talked of many things, like how few bees we had seen and, how many cabbage white butterflies had been noticed. I'd mentioned I'd seen an orange one. 'N we'd drunk coffee from a flask, toasting my late friend Barry, who also been my friends friend.

The short time spent there was just what I'd wanted and, on my return home I'd said to my Father, “The view was so perfect I'd not even bothered to take a photograph...”

And tapping my head, I had added, “But it's there, all there.”

And as a river moves, so does the weather. We'd had literally days of heavy rain, when I had decided to make my banana and blueberry cream-shake, at 22:00 hrs.

I'd reached for my bananas only to find that several were off, a white fur over the tips of several of them. A couple had been salvaged and I had been able to make my drink, prior to making my soup.

Yet before making my soup, I had a chore to do, empty the 'bits' pot that I'd put the dead banana in. Then I'd gone into the back garden 'neath the cooling rain and crossed the soggy lawn, to the black big, for later mulch production and good black soil. Then I'd entered my home, thankful for the warmth, as I had sat to type, Horlicks at hand.
