I'm not going to say where this came from because I'm not out to embarass the person if he ever reads this.



I was having a conversation back and forth with someone and this is how he wrote to me. This is how MANY kids write to each other.

u kno wut ur just jealous that my mother is a fuckin betta mota then u eva will be so keep my motha outta this u rite idkl bout ur kids noer do i care u shelter them there gonna turnm out ta be lil wusses there gonna need u there whole damn life an u kno chores aint go0t nuthinn ta do wit this eatha so u need ta keep ur thoughts 12 ur self ur nmot my motha yur ntuhin to me so but out my life an no i neva duid drink eatha its called actin so get it through ur head i dont drink jsut cuz wut i rote on myspace doesnt mean nuthin its call tryin ta make ur self look kooler an no i dont hit my motha eath idk were ur getting these facts 4rm but u r seriously rong an unlike u my mom would neva call the cops on me like u did tryin ta put me unda suicidal watch so back the hell off an leave me the hell alone

I have a small story to tell of something that occured the other day. But I have to preface it by saying a couple of things.



1. I can not stand text speak, L33T, or shortening words because you are too lazy to say it properly. i.e.: aight instead of All right or Sup instead of What's up.........



2. My daughter has come home with the horrible habit of saying, "Sup". Of course I can't stand this and always correct her.





Jim, Alex, Melissa, and myself were on base the other day getting something to drink at the Navy Exchange.



At the check-out, my lovely daughter kept saying, "Sup" to her brother. I told her to stop because it made her sound uneducated.



Jim looked at me strangely and walked away, and the cashier got VERY rude with me.



I coudn't understand, for the life of me, what happened.



Jim says that when I told Melissa she sounded uneducated, in front of the black cashier, it sounded racial.



Now, I definitely was not trying to be racist. I don't give a rats ass what color you are. If you can't speak properly, you sound uneducated.



Period.





P.S.



Did you know that high school and college kids have been turning in their reports and papers in text language?



You have to love this new generation. Not.

For clarification...



My daughter was the one saying "Sup".



The cashier didn't say anything rude, just kind of gave me a VERY standoffish attitude after I told my daughter she was sounding uneducated.



And the reason Jim said what he did was because he saw how the cashier reacted to what I said. lol



Jim is very sensitive to racial issues because he grew up with people who made racial comments all the time and he hates it.



:-)





And, unfortunately, the cashiers are civilians and / or dependants of military members. Which means most of them are bitches and feel they are entitled to something.

My family is complete and intact. What a tremendous feeling.



I've missed this so much.



Note to the "therapist": Never underestimate a child's need to be home with her mother. It is overwhelming. Since she has been home I've hardly had any issues.



Go figure.
