The room was cold. The window had been open since the sun went down.
She came right in and opened it. He wasn't there. In her head
anymore. She was lost. Maybe not lost but lonely at the very least.
She wound the window open. She looked out for a second, nothing
passed in her site. She did not see what was there. The parking
lot, the cars the building across from hers. She only saw his face.
There wasn't anymore tears to cry so she moved around past her
bed to the corner on the other side. Pressed herself agianst
the wall and let herself slide down. Wrapping her arms around
her knees she bowed her head and sat there. She knew if she tried
hard enough that she would cry but what was the point. The tears
were only for her loss, her sorrowful self. So really what was the use?
She wasn't sure how long she was there when she felt a hand on her
arm. She didn't care nor wanted to look up so she just sat there.
"Are you alright"
The voice seemed familiar...but not. Not that she had heard it before
but she knew it in someway.
She kept her eyes closed and did not look up.
"What...do you want?"
"oh nothing, everything." the voice came..deep.
"Well if you want nothing then you came to the right place" Her
voice sounded hollow.
She heard the person sit on the side of the bed closest to her.
Moving her blackcombat boot clad feet apart slightly she saw black
laced boots. None that she recognized, and she thought, "Could they
just get on with it."
"it isn't the end. you know that." his voice reverberated with a deep
harmonic echo.
"It isn't going to change anything." her voice shaking
She heard a sigh and a rustle and smelled something...almost like a woodsey
firey smell.
She wondered if something was on fire and then, she didn't care.
All she could think of was his face, when he told her he wanted to leave.
Why couldn't she just tell him, why couldn't she just say it.
She she didn't want him to go. She wanted to be with him.
She wanted to scream out "Stay". But, she was not going to.
She didn't want him to do something, for her, that he didn't
want to do. And, she knew just by the person he was that he would.
She wasn't going to cage him. Not like the last person in his
life did. She loved him, she wasnt' going to cause him sorrow.
So...she was a good little girl and watched him jump.
"That was a brave thing to do" His voice startled her and she jumped.
"Go...away"
"I can't"
At this she looked up and the anger started to seeth within her.
What she saw almost stopped her heart and she could only stare up at him
sitting there on her bed.
It couldn't be, she gasped, and stood straight up hitting her head
on the shelf that was nailed to the wall.
"I...I saw...your.."The words came in gasps and space.
A finger came to her lips and he was standing in front of her.
Her hands went to rub down the front of her skirt. She had started
to sweat.
His finger felt soo real..she knew he wasn't there. Knew she was in
somesort of dream, halucination.
What the hell was going on.
"No..no your not dreaming. I promise you."
She closed her eyes as tight as she could. This isn't happening
she thought. She kept her eyes closed as she tried to push past him
the wall on oneside her bed on the other.
"Stop" The voice wasn't in her ears, it was in her head this time. Her
eyes came open.
"No...stop" she said with a whispered fear.
