To say that I love you



We started out just as friends,

And you always made me smile.

We talked about the things in life,

That made life all worthwhile.



And up until that fateful night,

I hadn't had a clue.

Something changed inside our hearts,

And it made me love you.



And now I want to thank you for,

The love that you give me.

And when I look into your eyes,

I love the things I see.

It doesn't matter where we are,

Doesn't matter what we do,

All that matters is that I'm here,

To say that I love you.



I tend to look up at the moon,

At the same time you look, too.

Holding hands along the shore,

As the stars came into view.



Laugh or cry, it's all the same,

I'm here to share those things.

To be there when you soar or fall,

And everything life brings.
