The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I'm looking for members belonging to The Dark Network that wish to help other members on some editing work.

This may include some coding knowledge but not required.

All must know more than a little about editing, the English language (either Queen or American), have access to Word or some other word processing program and plenty of patience to work with people that may not have any of the former requirements.

These members will all volunteer their time as they have it available to them. A list of all volunteer editors will be made public on a House of Lunazure's Society page with links to their respected Profiles. Their editorial preferences will also be listed. If they wish, they may form their own SciFi or Power Punks section group.

Preferences will be given to editors because not all people feel comfortable doing a long and sometimes complicated re-work of an article. While some will prefer an easy and quick re-do of a poll, or forum thread idea.

Some members need help composing their ideas, not all can write in English (as their first language) and besides, nobody should be doing their own editing anyway - it's never good practice.

Now ... I should make myself clear here:

This is NOT meant for all articles, topics, polls, etc., to be edited first. It is ONLY for that extra help for those members that feel the need. If they really need it.

Editors should not be abused. This lists is being made IF a member truly requires it. This is being done as a favor to the member doing the writing.

Im really interested in this .. if i do get the position as an editor ill help as much as i could i will also give the members my email so if there creating something like a book or anything ill help them .

I am interested. I do a vast amount of editing within my Coven as well as elsewhere. I have quite a scrupulous eye for errors, especially unconscious ones made by quick, uncertain typing.

I'm excited for this proposal, I think some people could have quite superb profiles, articles, and other various aspects of VR that require written submissions if only they had a better grasp of the language. A site-wide dusting off of bad grammar and spelling errors... I like it.

I would like to help,I am pretty good at coding and redoing a lot of things on here,I am good at other sites too,like myspace,facebook,and others.

i help out in the Coven as an Acm. I can do css,html,php,xhtml and more. I love editing.

I will volunteer i like the idea of helping people re-write and edit their work to help make it better. The only problem is i don't have word i only have Notepad or Wordpad >.>

No-one is asking to join or change Societies. This is only a list of members willing to help other members with writing or maybe some little coding. Mostly with member articles or profiles but not limited to them. We do have a help section for coding - now we'll have the writing too!

The amount of help you give will be totally up to you. Some have no problem with major over-haul of pages, some will only be able to do a little for thread topics. Everything in between can happen but it will be up to the Editor.

It's my idea and I do have the ability to make a House/Society page easily enough. So, it will be listed among The House of Lunazure public pages - nothing more.

I will add or remove anyone that is interested in being listed. All that are, will be called "Editors." All will have their preferences given. If anyone asks for help in writing, then merely refer them to this page. That simple.

Messages have gone out to those interested. No need to ponder. Either you're interested or not. Once I get a good handful of editors I will un-sticky this thread and it will go its merry way. Anyone can find the thread and post if they wish. Open voluntary positions will remain until further notice.

The main idea for this list is for writers - not coding. Looking for members wishing to help with editing profiles, articles, good topic threads, etc. But they should be able to work with a wee bit of coding or not to be a fraid of it when they see it. Coding help is already here on VR.
