Hey, Does anyone remember/know when they open the bars on the ship? Is there one that is open in the mornings? I ask only for recovery purposes of course!
::blinks:: as best as I can recall.. open bar was one-two hours before our scheduled events....if you are returning this year I think Z said that we get an extra hour to guzzle?
Question on this end.. suffering from severe blondeness... Okay I am booking our flights and I double checked the cruise sight... are we staying in Tampa or Orlando?
You dont have an extra hour to guzzle.. you have the whole cruise, since the cruise includes ALL ALCOHOL...
I want to say the bars opened at like Lunch...? Hell.. I was never awake before Lunch.. except once.
I know some of the bars stayed open till 5am just for us.
Does anyone have any sober memories???
From what I have read on Cruise Critic Canival ships have at least ONE bar that opens between 10:30 and 11:00 each day. The bar that is open rotates. Do any of you still have your Capers from the '07 cruise? It should list open times for each venue somewhere each day.
Found this generic Caper on the web.
Looks like some are open as early as 9am.

Hmmmm...
Here are scanned copies from an easter Carib Glory cruise...
They omitted the bar times. Crap.

Muahahahah. I found a caper from the last cruise.
On some days, they had the bar opening at 10:30am and some at 11am.
Now, I distinctly remember one of the bars opening earlier as as few members from our group asked them to.
Because were in international waters, I dont believe there is a hardcore rule as to what times they open and close.
No I'm pretty sure there are no regulations about it. I think it has more to do with the practicallity of staffing a bar if no one will be buying stuff there. If they have the potential of selling drinks they will open it.
BUT how does our "pre-pay" for drinks affect it? Maybe after the first day of all of us "all you can drink" folks hitting the bars they will only bo open 15 min a day! lol
Well on the 2007 cruise...if you did not get trashed during the many "1 hour" open bars then you didn't attend the event!!!!
OKay.. so then since it is an all you can drink thing now... will they be getting faster bar tenders... I swear it took them 20 minutes to get me a double shot of Jaggermeitzer ((Sp)) and a double Ameratto and Coke
Maybe during our special events, they will still offer up the trays of multi-colored drinks!
I'm not too picky. As long is I get my occasional premium drink a few times during the day!
Important note.. the open bar is open yes.. but it is for all drinks normaly priced 7.50 and under. I know that i posted that already.. and its on the website..but just wanted to reiterate it.
So you need to order them one drink at a time.
yes.. I have already spoken to Carnival about the bar coverage for our events. They assure me they will have better coverage. If not.. i have a contact person with carnival on the ship I can talk to.
Thanks for that , Z. We seemed to really overwhelm them! It also may have been said somewhere, but I totally missed the mark when I learned we should only order single drinks during open bar! To those who were behind me in line: I'm so sorry! I was a drunk girl whose thought processes had slowed to a dull churn! (Not that any of you were any quicker after me, ha ha!!!)
We just tipped a little and the bar tenders won't forget you ever....................
5$ goes a long way ten is prime
