Exorcism: LIVE!

A live Exorcism will be performed by the Ghost Asylum crew and broadcast live on Destination America October 30th 9/8C. I invite anyone interested to watch and share your take and or opinion(s) on it. Many of you may already know that the movie 'The Exorcist' was based on a true story of a boy's (Roland Doe ((Also know as: Ronald Edwin Hunkeler and Robbie Mannheim)) supposedly possessed by the Devil and his subsequent Exorcism. To clarify, they are performing an exorcism on the house, not a person.

Is it legitimate Exorcism or just a ploy for ratings?

Do you believe that Robbie was actually possessed or just acting?

If anyone has watched Amy Allen at all, she's a physical Medium, and her words are, it's RARE to actually have a possession.

Do I think most things on TV are for ratings? Yes.

Do i think it's possible for someone to become possessed? Yes.
But in this case....it is hard to say.

Actually they aren't rare but quite common however I don't believe what is on tv or movies because of the ratings system

I think everything put on TV is for ratings. Low ratings and show go poof. And a live exorcism, the show title alone screams ratings. I would not think a real exorcism would be a very common thing. I say real but then I am not even sure I believe in the devil is in me and the devil made me do it theory. This just reminds me of Al Capone's Vault reality show with Geraldo Rivera. I think those who turn in to watch this will be just as disappointed.

@Dakotah I do not believe in the Devil per se but I do believe that if some is evil in life, then, it stands to reason that they are evil in the after life as well. And if possession is possible, it would most likely be evil spirits to blame. I do agree with you and I do not accept the excuse that ''The Devil made me do it'', nor do I do not hold out any expectations that the ''Live Exorcism'' will be anything more than a ''Ratings Boost'' but I am always up for a good laugh. *Giggles.* So, I doubt I will be disappointed in that respect. *Holds hand beside her mouth and speaks in a low, soft voice.* The same group also claims that they catch ghosts as well.*Snickers.* Yeah, right.LOL! They as well as the 'Big Foot Hunters' are fun to watch making fools of themselves, though.~Mina

@KITRA I am not familiar with Amy Allen - I will have to 'Google' her. I agree, such things are rating induced - Spirits/Ghosts do not appear or perform on command, anyone that has experienced such beings, know that.~Mina

I don't have any idea if this will be real or fake..but I do know..I will be watching.

I'm in accord with Kitra's answers. I rarely watch tv-it tends to make my imagination lazy.
I will say I think a lot of demons come from repression on a society scale and yes its possible to be possessed(lose your freewill) but requires special circumstances and is therefore very rare.

I no longer have that channel so I can't watch it.
