The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Players can choose to follow the intriguing main storyline, or set off to explore the huge province of Morrowind and the many interesting people and exotic locations it contains. Hundreds of quests and adventures await as you interact with characters and learn more. Morrowind features hyper-realistic textures and polygon counts, real-time shadows, vast landscapes, and a complete weather system.
The races you can chose from are diverse, Nord, Brenton, High Elf (Altmer), Wood Elf (Bosmer) Orc, Khajiit (cat men), Angorian (lizard men), Imperial, Dunmer, Red Guard. Each race comes with special abilities, and when you chose the star sign of your character, these abilities could be boosted to huge numbers.
You have the option of creating your own character and there are distinct benefits for going with a vampire character. There are also massive side affects too, with a hatred from all the other characters, no transportation (This proves the biggest flaw, as it takes hours to travel without help) and a high intolerance towards sunlight, with the character losing 5 health points every second. The cure for the disease of vampirism, Porphyric Hemophilia, is EXTREAMLY hard to get, as you need to talk to a statue in an old ruin and do his quest, kill his disgraceful daughter, who is nothing short of a demon.
There is also the expansion model, where you can travel to another island, BloodMoon, or to the Imperial city. BloodMoon offers the choice of werewolf, If your lucky enough to be bitten and survive the savage attack. The Dark Brotherhood is also more apparent, with assassins, a secret lair that is a maze of ruins, and hundreds of new quests that reveal more of the map than possibly thought.
