One of my friends was questioning, as to whether our world is ending? In my opinion, not as this time. However,if we do not reverse our acts of pollution, conspicuous consumption, and willful disregard of global conditions, things such as the extreme climate change, will result in tragic circumstances. However, to predict the end of the world, in my opinion is irresponsible. The Jehovah's Witnesses have done this many times since the 1920's, and most recently Rev. Joseph Campbell. And mow, these "Doomsday Preppers." who are the most irresponsible.
How many times have we had some charlatan, who fooled 1000"s of people into believing the Earth was ending? These same confidence tricksters, using Christian scriptures, accompanied with fervent, charismatic language, and gestures, luring people, who suffer from lack of education, and self esteem, into packing their belongings, and relocating to remote areas, in hopes of "salvation." I a, disinclined to aaept the words of such people. When I was in Christian seminary, the sermons, and teachings, were resound with the theme that "Jesus is coming back soon." And yet 30+ years later, no indication of this was even apparent. These apocalyptic predictions, still emanating from the pulpits of televised mega-churches, in the most disgraceful nature, utilising the logical fallacies of faulty correlation, causation, and appeals to authority.Yes, we have some spectacular things happening. However, I for one will not panic, nor incite panic towards the public. And, if our existense was to come to an end, what could we do? Loot and rob for resources? That would be illogical, and extremely oxymoronic. I do believe our stewardship of the earth has been dreadful, and we might be reaping the hazards, of these decades of misfeasance, neglect. and outright acts of destruction. Obviously our attitudes as a global community must change, and priorities must change in a radically based reversal, especially in the realm of corporate actions, and personal lives.

Just yesterday I watched a short documentary about this. Natural disasters always happened but now they're increasing because of human errors. However, we could only destroy humanity not Earth. Earth survived many severe disasters and changes. She's too strong, it's humanity that is weak. This always portrays the usual 'it's the end of the world' bogus and charlatans take the chance to get rich from naive people.

I know that for example that the earth can actually reverse several pollutions and even extreme ones done so far, like there is a type of vegetable beta vulgaris, that can actually 'eat' tnt in the ground and the vegetable is safe to eat, it is litterally cleaning the earth and with positive consequences. And in a place ( sorry can't rember the exact location) there is river so poluted that it is dangerous to even enter the water, but with the vegetaion around and the water itself even as poluted as it is, it would be able to clean itself and come back to a good water to be drink saftly within 10 years if no more polution is dropped in it.
Sadly the humans still polute and will not stop, regardlss of the fact that... the way things are going humans are "suiciding" themselves slowly.
