The term otherkin refers to those who have animal or other counter points in the being.
this should help you get started and understand more. the otherkins need to be shown attention just like any other

My ayana has a wolf as her other kin her name is shiala we get her out as offten as we can
just like any new pet or child they need to be trained and taken care of.
