Hello, just call me Doll - most of my friends do so anyway.
I am a sucker for fashion - high heels, fancy jackets, handbags - everything, to be honest. I also love hats, and gloves, and honestly wish that wearing corsets and three-pieces would be in fashion once again. I also kind of wish that some of the social gestures of XVII-XIX centuries would be common today. Wouldn't the world just be such a beautiful place, if instead of casual "Hi, wassup?" a man would lift his hat a little and nod his head carefully? How about fights - isn't it so much better (and dramatic!) to throw a glove at your opponent as a sign of upcoming fight, or do it the modern way: "hey dude, let's talk outside". Now for ladies, how would you like to be able to carry around a fan, which you would be able to go for as a sort of protective blanket whenever you are bored, confused or just really need to find an excuse to end the conversation politely? Ah, dreams... You see, I'm not just talking here - I try to bring those little gestures back by, well, practicing them. But probably it's not such a normal thing to bring a fan to a social event, or wear a top hat =) Also, if you really want to freak most people out, try saying "farewell" instead of "bye-bye". Works every time...
I am originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, now relocated to the US. It's been a while before I found any dark societies both IRL and online, and I am quite happy to come across VR - all of you seem very friendly =) I am still on the search of goth and other dark ones to hang out with in Omaha, but seems like a hard task to accomplish. Anyone from Nebraska here,mm?

For now I guess I'll post some of my favorite bands here: Suicide Commando, Tiamat, Paramore, Lacrimosa, The Bloodhound Gang, Cradle of filth, The sisters of mercy (who wouldn't love them?), Nokturnal Mortum, Tori Amos (oh those ballads for when I am feeling down...), Mylene Farmer (guess I just like redheads =)), NIN, L'Ame Immortelle, Alice Cooper, and some Russian bands that are not really famous around the world. Other than that, I am on a constant search for new bands and tracks, usually listening to at least one new album every day, so please feel free to recommend any good bands! The preferred genres would be gothic rock, death rock, post punk, riot grrrl, etherial, neoclassic, dark cabaret, synth goth, metal (any branch of it, really)
I also almost got married once. Almost is the key word, because I insisted on adding an essential accessory, and he just did not find that cute. Oh well, big loss =) We were too young, too restless ...
